The visitor's permit lets you park on the road and saves you from endangering your vehicle, but you may get your step count up while you unload. "Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space."

High Paradise Farm aptly named as this place is truly magical. I loved the individual character of my room which had all amenities to make it a truly comfortable and relaxing stay. Well stocked kitchenette, lovely big bathroom and very comfortable bed. I particularly valued the privacy this place offered. Ginny (one of the owners) was around and extremely helpful and friendly. I love the ethos of this place and will definitely return come rain or shine.
