While the in-room televisions felt a bit outdated and the lack of a fully functioning café was a minor drawback, these details were far outweighed by the hotel’s charm. In fact, I’d love to see the hotel partner with one of Portland’s many excellent local cafés for a pop-up or permanent offering—it would be such a perfect fit for the community vibe the hotel already has. What really made my stay memorable were the thoughtful touches like daily wine tastings and the Friday night live music, which created such a lively yet relaxed atmosphere. Honestly, my favorite part of the trip was simply being at the hotel itself. Between the welcoming staff, unique amenities, and prime location, The Mark Spencer Hotel made my Portland visit unforgettable. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city!"
