"Amazing place and great location , Joao and his staff were very accommodating and helpful during my stay , would highly recommend and would book again when I’m back in Amarante , the breakfast at the bakery across the hotel was amazing and the staff there were very nice and helpful as well , I was in town in to prepare for a cycling race and they helped with a breakfast box the day of my race. "Casa das Lérias is a stunning boutique hotel that seamlessly blends modern design with beautiful views of the Tâmega River, featuring an exceptional staff, a relaxing pool area, and a prime location for exploring the region. While the morning buffet offers a fresh and delicious selection of high-quality local items, the setup can be confusing at times because plates are not visually available or laid out on the counters, occasionally causing minor delays. Despite this slight morning bottleneck, the property remains a highly recommended, tranquil base for anyone visiting the town or the nearby Douro Valley."

"Outstanding stay, thanks to an exceptional team We had a wonderful stay, and the staff is what made it truly memorable. From start to finish, the team went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and taken care of. Cecilia, in particular, was amazing. When we ran into an issue with a driver pickup, she stepped in and handled it with genuine care and professionalism. She went above and beyond to make things right, and it turned what could have been a frustrating moment into one of the best service experiences we've ever had at a hotel. If you stay here, you're in great hands. Thank you, Cecilia, and the entire team, for taking such good care of us. And the breakfasts were awesome too."

"This is by no measure a 5-star property, but a well used 4-star facility. The upkeep is not really up to par, with mold in the bathroom, bathroom doors peeling severly due to water damage, stained towels etc. The breakfast is fine, but, again, not up to 4-star standards (including 5-star hotels in Portugal). The common spaces like the dining room show extensive damage due to use (and lack of maintenance?) and there's peeling paint in the hallways. However, the staff were exceedingly friendly and the price we paid in mid-May (around 150 € per night) was right for a 4-star place."

"Close to historic site and restaurants. Excellent breakfast and the massage was good. Hotel bed, room, and bathroom is a good size. The downside is you’ll need to pay for spa services daily to use the pool. Hot tub is luke warm and the steam room could use eucalyptus or something to give it a spa feeling. Would be nice if pool access didn’t require a spa service. Also cap purchase required if you didn’t bring your own."
