The hotel had recently been renovated and this had created a number of problems. There was no shower screen or shower curtain so, however carefully we showered, it was impossible not to flood the bathroom floor. And the rooms and corridors had been laid with laminate flooring which amplified footsteps and voices, creating unnecessary noise. The staff were friendly but seemed inexperienced and uncertain. The receptionist did not know the hotel's wifi code, so we were unable to get online. And breakfast was too much of a challenge for them on one of the mornings of our stay: at one point, all the unoccupied tables were uncleared and newly arrived guests had to wait a long time for them to be reset, while those already seated ran short of various items such as coffee. Looking on the positive side, though, the bed was comfortable and the feather pillows supremely comfortable.

Rhein in 3 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar, direkt am Bahnhof, Zimmer waren sauber und die Reption auch bei kleinen Wünschen sehr hilfreich. Ich kann es empfehlen.

Nach dem Einchecken war kein Ansprechpartner mehr im Hotel. Empfangsdame sprach kein Wort Deutsch, Rückfragen mussten telefonisch gemacht werden. Die ganze Nacht lief eine Maschine im Haus, das nur zeitweilig an Schlaf zu denken war. Geschäftsreisende müssen Kurtaxe zahlen, was mir auch neu war. Frühstück mit angetrocknetem Käse und Wurst braucht kein Mensch. Sicher werde ich d nicht noch einmal übernachten.

Kostenloses Mineralwasser stand nicht auf Zimmer. Benutzung der Toilette iist sehr beengt. Bei meinen kurzen Beinen und Größe 1.63 m ging es grad noch. Sonst war alles sehr gut. Ruhiges Zimmer. Tolles Frühstücksbuffet. Lecker und sehr vielseitig. Würde ich immer wieder buchen

全体的に質が低い

チェックイン時にフロントの係員が我々の予約が入っていることが分からず、チェックインにかなり手間取ったことは残念だった。予約したホテルの名前が既に存在しておらず、別の名前になっていたことも原因の一つのようだ。また、部屋の中が煙草の臭いで充満していたことは、赤ん坊を連れていたこともあり極めて不快だった。宿泊費に見合ったホテルではなかった。

Good budget conscious option for comfortable stay

We stayed for 2 nights while touring in the Boppard area. The hotel is only steps from the train station in Bad Salzig (3 min train ride from Boppard). The rooms were very clean and well kept. Our room had a safe, refrigerator, TV and 2 comfortable chairs. There is no air conditioning but during the very hot weather we had our window open and were ok. Both mornings of our stay we ate at the breakfast buffet which had a very good selection of juice, fruit, cheese, meat, bread and cold cereals. We ate one evening meal at the hotel which we had to reserve in advance. It was one of the better meals we had in Germany and the service was good. We do not speak a word of German which didn't really seem to be an issue. Few people working in the hotel are fluent with English but manage as best as they can. The front desk was well looked after by Vivian one of the few people at the hotel with excellent English. She went out of her way to look after our needs when we were trying to book our airline check-in for our return trip home to Canada the next day. She also looked after checking us out. We initially pre paid for our room but we had to pay for our 2 breakfasts and one evening dinner meal. Thanks Vivian. The hotel is situated in Bad Salzig which is only a 3 minute train ride from Boppard. This may cause some confusion as the station is named Boppard Bad-Salzig. The area is relatively quiet considering it location near the train. There is some local street traffic.

Perfect hotel voor overnachting

Prima hotel kamer wat aan de kleine kant diner was prima en ontbijt voortreffelijk geen airco een tip als je de volgende morgen vertrekt betaal avond daarvoor s'morgens geeft wat problemen parkeerplaats hoef je niet te reserveren kan overal gratis parkeren

Zimmer schön und Personal ist nett und hilfsbereit

Das Personal war nett und hilfreich. Das Zimmer war sauber und die Einrichtung noch neu. Da das Hotel jedoch in direkter Nähe zum Bahnhof liegt, war es teilweise durch den Zugverkehr sehr laut. Aber das ist Gewöhnungssache. Der einzige Nachteil war das Türschloss, welches sich nicht immer richtig abschließen ließ.

Highly recommend this hotel

Hotel (in Bad Salzig) in Rhine Valley close to Boppard, I highly recommend. Clean, affordable, quiet and with new furniture. Parking close by on the street. I stayed there in August with my family for 2 nights.
