Booked and prepaid a 1-bedroom suite (with two queens and a tub per the category description) 7 months out via Expedia. Checked in and they downgraded us. The worst part was they tried to convince us the small, standard room (with a king bed) which was half the size and no tub “is basically a king suite.”
Offered us a $20 refund on two nights. Nowhere near the actual price difference.
When I asked how the situation could have happened, the guy at the counter said “it can sometimes happen when you book through a third party” - meaning Expedia. At that point we had no choice but to stay. No other rooms available at nearby properties.
We were so disappointed and frustrated we ended up cutting our long-planned trip short. It’s a shame. The facility itself is nicely maintained.
We were not given what we paid for. And Local management was completely unresponsive. Literally…no response whatsoever.
So if you are booking this hotel through Expedia, I hope you get what you paid for.
