Bon Air Trip

It's a beautiful hotel on one of the best beaches in Mauritius great stuff great pool great facilities the room was exceptionally quiet and would definitely stay here again. Michael from Food services was absolutely outstanding along with all the other staff including Stefane

AVOID. Our honeymoon was ruined by 11 nights of health hazards & nickel-and-diming at a "Premium All-Inclusive" resort. We paid a significant extra for Premium All-Inclusive and checked with the hotel before arrival, yet most menu items, even basics, carried mandatory surcharges. "All-inclusive" here means paying again at the table. "Mostly-exclusive" is more accurate. They refused to refund the days before I complained. The ceiling leaked and the walls were moldy for most of our stay. When I reported it, they downgraded my room and simply painted over the mold. When asked to move my belongings, staff said "We are not your slaves". The private pool was filthy, attracting stray dogs from the beach to eat items in it. The TV didn't work. Although it showed "aerial cable disconnected", the manager blamed me for disconnecting the Wifi (it uses ethernet) and removing the key card from the power slot (untouched all stay). They fixed the antenna on the last day. An aggressive head massage pulled out my hair and left my scalp covered in whiteheads. The private hammam's bathtub tap was broken. Constant pointless "courtesy checks" interrupted us. At checkout, after condescendingly offering one night's refund and 5% off for an NDA & waiving all claims from the stay, they tried to charge me tourist tax for days I wasn't in the country and for the massage the spa had agreed to waive, This delayed my departure to the airport. A once-in-a-lifetime trip we can never get back.

The Bay Club was a wonderful resort in a really convenient location. We went as a family of 4 with two young kids 9 and 11 years old, and everyone loved it. We stayed in a 3 bed ocean view ground floor appartment which felt like home away from home. We were full board and stayed for two weeks, the food was delicious, and the portions were big. The resort had all the amenieties you could ever want and a beach house that had complimentary water sports like pedalo, paddle board, kayak etc. There was a free shuttle boat that took you to Ile aux Cerfs Island every 30 mins (beautiful beach and clear water). The best thing about the resort was the staff, everyone from the buggy drivers to the kitchen staff, kids club team, cleaning crew, main reception staff, pool staff, beach hut guys and shuttle boat driver were absolutely wonderfull, they really made our 20th wedding anniversary trip one to remember. I don't have enough words to thank them all, but I must thank the main reception staff for helping us adapt our booking to make us more comfortable (thank you), no request was too difficult for the staff, they always tried to find a way to help. Also Mr Eddie in the main restaurant was outstanding and will forever be remembered by our family. He was so lovely , kind , friendly and helpful, and he and lots of other staff made the resort feel like a family. Also our friend from Argentina who made the pizzas was supper nice and made amazing pizzas. Thank you to all the staff.
