Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was basic but clean. Stayed in February / March so not sure how good the aircon would be in summer? Otherwise a great location and everything is within walking distance.

Shabby chic. I could feel the springs through the top of the mattress. I had no hot water for the duration of my stay despite mentioning it to reception. 9am breakfast on Sunday seem to catch them by surprise as food ran out and was not replenished. However, the building is a lovely period edifice and the staff charming, if, in the case of the hot water, ineffective. It needs a refurb I wouldn't stay there again until it's had one.

The facility service was impeccable. They seamlessly arranged transportation to a hidden gem restaurant in San Giovanni, Osteria del Mirasole, and facilitated my transfer to the airport. However, the cleanliness of the washroom could use some improvement. Overall, my stay was peaceful and comfortable.

This hotel is very close by to the plaza as well as lots of different places to dine. They had their own parking garage which was nice. The lobby was clean, and the staff were friendly. The things we did not like was that our room was right above a movie theater so we could hear the movie while we were sleeping. The shower would not drain the water well and there was a fan in the room that didn't work. We didn't stay here long so it wasn't an issue for us but for others, I could see these being a little disappointing. It was in a great location. The property did not communicate with us prior to our stay unlike all other properties we stayed at in Italy. Although, it was easy to check in, it would have been nice to have more communication.

This is not anywhere near a 3 star hotel, more like a 1 star. The property needs a huge overchaul. The carpet in our was disgusting, with stains everywhere. The bathroom was at least clean but had an odd odour. I’m sure the cleaning staff do their best with what they have. There wasn’t a fridge or coffee pot to be found. The bed was ok with fresh linens but an old bed cover. No one uses them anymore because they are too hard to keep clean. The only redeemable feature was the location as it was right in the centre of town.

The hotel was situated very near to the main square. The room was well equiped but had a fan instead of aircon. The breakfast was a little basic.

Pay more, stay somewhere else.

Not usually one to complain, but this hotel was extremely poor. Plug sockets didn’t work, towel rack hanging off, completely depressing room in the attic and looks like it hasn’t been updated since 1970. There’s old furniture stacked up on every floor, pushed to one side. Elevator wasn’t working, so I called room service, just once, and was told to use the vending machine on floor 2, cash only, for water. Staff were nice, but the hotel needs a massive revamp. Pay more, stay somewhere else.

I liked this hotel and would happily stay there again . The location is wonderful for all the sights, shops and eating places, including the mercato delle erbe. My room was of a good size everything was in order. The only thing I would say is that, if you are an early sleeper, you should request a quiet room, as there is noise from the nearby cinema. In my case this was not a problem as I am never in bed before midnight . I appreciated the large shower and the constant hot water.

Although the name is Palace hotel, its so vintage that it seems that they didn't do anything for the last 40 years or so. The whole interior is worn out so much that 200,- for one night is far beyond a reasonable price. OK its only 5 min walk from the main square. Sorry to say, but never had such a poor room for so much money.
