"There were dozens of bugs in my bedroom. When I brought the issue up to staff their response was that they "thought they took care of the problem this morning" and that they would simply vacuum up the bugs instead of properly cleaning the room or offering me a new one. The issue was not resolved and I told them I could not stay at this hotel if they could not find me a clean room. "Stayed for one night on journey heading South. Clean and comfortable hotel room. Evening meal was very good but with a limited menu, especially for vegetarian friends we were with. Good position with plenty of parking and small garden. Our dog enjoyed the stay as well ! Have also booked for our return journey."

"The host was very nice and spoke good English. Our room was cramped and somewhat dated. The toilet was separate from shower area and both doors had to be closed to navigate around the bed. Breakfast was great. There was a close-by restaurant where we had a dinner. It was really very nice for the price!"

"Stopped overnight on our way down to our own place in the Charente. Plenty of parking around the chateau. Very pleasant staff and a lovely friendly German Shepperd dog to welcome you. Room was very clean, spacious and a most comfy bed and pillows. We had a lovely dinner in the evening but wanted to get on the road early in the morning so passed on the breakfast, so can't comment on that. Lastly, nice decking area to sit out on in the evenings."

"Warm friendly welcome on arrival. Great communication in the run up to our visit. François was the perfect host full of ideas and information on where to visit and weather updates. Stayed in the penthouse apartment. Beautifully furnished immaculately clean amazingly comfortable. Lovely outdoor private patio and garden area. Fantastic grounds. "Un hôtel agréable, mais aux chambres vraiment petites. L'hôtel est agréable, avec un accueil efficace qui nous a permis d'arriver très tard sans complications. Il est situé près d'un rond point assez passant, ce qui en rend l'accès aisé, mais force à garder les fenêtres fermées la nuit. Heureusement qu'il y a une climatisation. Le personnel est accueillant et sympathique. Mon seul bémol est la taille des chambres, où il est difficile d'avoir plus qu'une valise de taille cabine ouverte dans la chambre. Comme l'hôtel est à proximité des nombreuses attractions des châteaux de la Loire, il vaut mieux en profiter et ne passer qu'un temps minimum dans les chambres. "
