We had a great stay at the Palm (1 night).
Location is excellent, right along the main street facing the water. Several restaurants and shops nearby (including restaurant and bar in the Palm). Nearby activities such as the walk around and up the little mountain, and strolling the promenade. Was about a 10 minute walk from the train station.
Room was clean and spacious. The walk in shower was lovely. In the intro email from the Palm they noted it can be loud some nights due to the bar, but we were there on a Monday night and it was very quiet.
The front desk staff was pleasant, helpful, and kept our luggage for us before we were able to check in.
We would stay here again if ever in the area.

Our stay was good overall. Our room AC was not working to the point it was cooler in the hallway than it was in our room. Someone was supposed to check on it, but never came. We went to the front desk to ask about the situation and they offered us fans for night. Which was perfect. They handled that situation very well.

"We had an early departure and needed to get a cup of coffee and roll at 7:30 am. Only a full breakfast was available, as the cafe was not yet open. The host at the restaurant made an exemption for us to just get coffee . . . so that was OK, but would have liked just a simple cafe experience."
