"I recently stayed at this hotel and had a generally positive experience. The room was clean, which made for a comfortable stay. However, the towels were plush and soft for the first two days, but the replacements were rough on the skin. After sunbathing, a low-quality towel is the last thing you want. the food quality in the buffet and restaurants was lacking. Also, only one elevator was operational, which made navigation inconvenient. Overall, it was a pleasant stay."

Recommend eating at the golf club once on the patio. The spa staff on point for all items. The workout facilities had all the latest equipment."

The bar had a great atmosphere, perfect for unwinding in the evening, and the breakfast offered a good variety of fresh options to start the day. "Casa Don Luis was a wonderful stay! A unique little relaxed & historical, yet thoughtfully updated gem, nestled in the midst of the ever growing commercialized resorts that surround. The vibe is authentic, and the rooms are comfortable & clean. Though not necessarily quiet, the hum of local bustle that surrounds just adds to the charm. The restaurants just steps away are to die for. Pastries at Granier in the morning are a must, and dinners at Barbudo were phenomenal, with Noah being a close second. It is important to note, being a smaller niche stay there is a small price to pay in terms of accessibility. Since there is no direct entrance to the hotel for vehicles, taxis and driver services cannot drop-off/pick-up at the establishment. This is easily remedied however, by just booking everything for pickup and drop off at the TAN Resort entrance, which is the resort that surrounds Casa Don Luis and the walk to your room is only a short 2-3min past restaurants, boutiques, and a couple of small market places where you can also stop to grab quick refreshments and travel essentials. It is also unique in that Ubers cannot enter the Cap Cana entrance, for safety the Cap Cana area is very strict and will only allow registered taxis and car services through the security area. Shopping nearby is limited, however a quick 20min taxi to nearby BlueMall is easy enough, where you can find lots of great resort wear and casual eats at a much more affordable price than resort boutiques."

"We ordered a room with 2 queen beds. When we arrived, me and my daughter we received key and being told we got beautiful vip specious room. We got to the room to find out there was a one king bed. When person who accompanied us was told thattwasn't what we ordered he contacted front desc and being told the hotel is packed and no other room is available. They tried to put additional temporary bed to accomodate us. It took 2 hours of stres being looked at like I was crazy refusing room which they assigned it to us, to finally be told they have a room with 2 queen beds. Shouldn't I receive what I ordered and was available at the time of purchase without any stress, I think I should receive what I paid for ."
