The staff were helpful and the facilities were good at the property, ski in ski out, raclette to hire also thank you so much to the ladies and Charles at the other Azureva (Les confin) for sorting out our ski hire and making renting very smooth for us, great attention to detail. There were however a few niggles about the location which is voted great on Expedia but…it’s not if you don’t have a car or you’re a non skier. There is no local shop/supermarket/bakery without having to an endure a 25/30 minute walk or get a bus of which were very infrequent (every 1.5 hours) and stop service at 6.45pm, so you can’t even go for dinner in the town really unless you’re happy to walk back up. The propert itself was OK, really HOT to sleep in and no air con. It felt really small too for 6 people, we are fortunately a family but you could not do this with friends. The lights in the communal areas of the property were timed and this was REALLY annoying when you were getting ski’s on/putting them back - you ended up in pitch black, rummaging around for the light switch. In general; if we did return we would stay in the village.

The check was very easy, they even let us check in a few hours early. The hotel was lovely and clean, the lamp in the room didn’t work but plenty of other lights, the tv wouldn’t connect to the internet so could only watch French tv. Spa area was lovely and relaxing after a busy day skiing. We had one free access per booking so definitely made use of it. The breakfast was brilliant. Hot and cold buffet breakfast so great start to the day. Location of hotel was perfect, not too far from all the lifts. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but the bar area was very nice and all the staff were extremely friendly. Would definitely come again.

Let me start by saying that whatever you do, book the largest room available but NEVER the room for 4 which is too small for humans. The room occupancy is calculated based on the usage of the most basic of sofabeds and trust me, you want a proper bed. So if there is 4 of you then book for 6 or as I said - as large as possible. The flat we stayed in was basic but clean and functional. The bathroom was super and the bedrooms as well. The kitchen/living area is quite small and the balcony was to small for 3 even though we stayed in a flat for 6. The complex has an excellent pool which is very popular with guests. The reception is not always manned by when it is, we found the staff super nice and helpful. Please note that you have to clean after yourself before you check out. Our first impression when we arrived was not great but La Feclaz really grew on us while we were there and we were somewhat sad to leave. La Feclaz has a several fairly basic, reasonably priced but ok restaurants but don't expect gastronomy. The village does however have a truly excellent little supermarket with all you need again at reasonable prices. Attaced to the supermarket is a laundrette which is the only place you can wash clothes. In terms of things to do, as a family we highly recommend the very well signed local hiking paths which are great for families as well as seasoned hikers. Cyclists are also in for a treat as the climb from Chambery to La Feclaz is 1100m and steep.
