Nice motel
First time staying here and I will be back. Nice and clean. Comfortable bed. And had a nice meal at the restaurant.

Tidy complex, centrally located, large clean room.
The Black Rock Inn was very easy to find. It’s a large complex with plenty of onsite parking. Our room was large and clean. We had a good size fridge which was appreciated, as well as a kitchen sink and microwave. We had a small balcony, nice to sit out on in the evening. The motel manager was very friendly and accommodating. We used the onsite restaurant one night of our stay - great food and service.

We had an excellent stay at Black Rock Inn. The staff was super friendly, very warm welcome 😊. The size of the 2 bedroom appartement was bigger than expected. It was clean and tidy. Excellent location to visit Blackdown Tablelands, which was beautiful.

The room was good but the Ac was off in the room and with the ridiculously hot weather the room took 2 hrs to cool down and the bed was that hot it was uncomfortable.

arrived & waited at reception for a good five minutes (which was ok) Went into room facilities were ok, couch was badly worn, & bed was comfortable When we returned from the pub no lights were on so we were walking in pitch black darkness, which is disappointing as there should be lights in the car parking area

Unfortunately since I last stayed here the service & the quality has fallen away We first arrived & reception was closed (1345), when we returned at (1400) there were two dogs in the reception area and a bad odour in the area Rooms were clean & aircon on when I got into my room (which was a relief from the heat) We took customers out for dinner at 1830 & waited a little while to be served drinks, restaurant was not even half full, food was average (we have eaten here before & the food was excellent) Walking back to the rooms from the restaurant lights were turned off in the car park area so we were walking back in complex darkness with phones as the only light In the morning I opened up my curtains to overgrown weeds & unkept garden areas Probably won’t be staying here again which is unfortunate as this used to be a really good place to stay

I am truly sorry your stay with us was not up to its usual standards and I have made notes for all of us here at the Black Rock Inn to work on in order to make all our guests more comfortable when they stay with us. Our maintenance man generally tends to the grounds every weekend, and I have asked him to take extra care around the garden beds. Our motel lights are still on a timer which automatically switch off after 9pm, but I will get this changed to 9:30/10pm to allow guests extra time when leaving our restaurant. I will be sharing your review with both our kitchen and restaurant front of house staff in the hopes of using it to better service the needs of all our diners. Again, I am truly sorry you were unhappy with your stay, however I thank you for your feedback as this gives us a guide as to what areas we need to improve on as a team. Thank you and I wish you a wonderful weekend.

Great clean rooms, manager was lovely. Unfortunately the Wotif listing wasn’t quite correct, said check in my 7pm, but was 5pm when we got here, but the manager was onsite and had already prepared our keys. Also advertised with breakfast included which was a big selling point to us, but that was also incorrect. So that was a bit disappointing.

Everything you need is onsite.
Check in was easier, rooms are clean, spacious and you can walk to the on-site restaurant. Very good food and very cold beer.

Great location, drive up to your door, restaurant at the premises, comfortable bed and big room, good assortment for breakfast which is included in your room price. Dinner menu foods are a bit hit and miss lately.

3 days of no hot water wasn't ideal. We were offered to go across the car park upstairs to use another units shower. After 3 days the excuses wore thin, I was told each day by the manager that he had a hot shower, which also didn't help. Albeit nice breakfast , good unit, but the plumber should have been there after day 1 given I paid for the pleasure of cold showers or alternatively trek across the car park and back. Unit 303.

We are very sorry and the truth was that there was no problem with the hot water it seemed the families with children on either side used all the hot water. The system was attended to by a plumber and he told us the same thing. We even emptied it and put in a different heating system which made no difference. It has never happened in all the time we have been here and it does appear that the cold weather made everyone have a hotter shower than usual. We apologized at the time and the only alternate was a separate room. Again we apologize for any inconvenience.

Thank you for the review. Sorry for any inconvenience. Breakfast officially runs from 5.45 to 8am. The chef is in house from 5am and many turn up from that time for their breakfast and cribs. He may start packing up if no one comes in for some time and it is approaching 8am. The chef comes back at 3pm to start the evening preparation. As he is used to catering for the mining guests I might recommend that you speak with reception on arrival just to let them know you will be eating later.

No buffet breakfast on weekends - continental only. Room not serviced. Wall has massive cracks and a cockroach was seen! Not good for the most expensive option!

Sorry for any confusion. Continental on weekends plus cook to order. Cracks were caused by a cyclone and have just been approved to be repaired. We are now in the process of repairing any damage. Services are performed every day except when asked not to. Sorry if it was missed. Any problems should be reported to the office as soon as you check-in so matters can be rectified immediately.

Overnight stay.
We were out in Blackwater for an engagement party and needed somewhere to spend the night. Great room, perfect for what we needed, staff were lovely, would definitely stay here next time we come out.
