"Nice room, great price, great view and good breakfast . They could have had a few more staff on at breakfast as thd hotel was quite full for Sunday night/ Monday morning"
"An older motel, but perfect for a reasonably priced, standard, no frills overnighter.
Extremely comfortable beds. Clean & tidy. Great meals at the hotel & friendly, helpful staff."
"Special check-in details not completely accurate: check in times can vary but late arrivals can be accommodated with prior arrangement. Parking is close to room but very tight so please be considerate if you are not the one parking next to the wall.
Studio room large and well appointed, with offset kitchenette where I could read in the middle of the night.
We walked to the waterfall and back in 90 minutes, although lookouts were much closer."

"Stayed for two nights. Limited eating options mid week as we were told that Embers restaurant was all that was open. There was a communication problem as the Hotel staff didn’t seem to know about dinner being available at associated Golf Club ( lucky it was State of Origin football night so special catering was available).
We enjoyed our stay and had a very large room but hotel is getting a bit dated. There is an additional $15 per night charge to park your car (usually a distance from the entrance)."
"My parents had a negative opinion based on the past (over 20 years ago) and since we stayed here during winter magic festival (with two young kids), we can attest that the Metropole was completely positive and family friendly. The place has such a charm with clean, freshly painted and decorated decor, and modern renovations in the rooms while keeping a retro/vintage theme throughout that complements the history of the hotel. The dining area is beautiful and cozy, and staff were relaxed and professional. I had an exceptional cosmopolitan cocktail. And the location was great for walking to Katoomba st where the winter magic festivities happened in June.
The only negatives were some creaky floors, a pretty steep hill to walk to get to Katoomba st, however nice and close to the station as well. Another great point was a usable lift which helped in the case of having a pram.
I really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay again."
"The hotel was clean and the staff were amazing. It was a short walk to the Main Street and multiple dining options. Great cafe across the street and the RSL is on the opposite corner for a handy feed in the rain."
"Spacious apartment and you cannot beat the location for access to Leura’s mall, the station, the highway and the Elysian Bar & Restaurant across the road.
A tip from us, do not believe Expedia’s message that reception is only open Monday to Friday. In fact it’s open both days of the weekend which made check in (at the top of the driveway) very easy."
