Broken elevator made for a stressful weekend! We were compensated on our room rate, but unfortunately it didn't make the painful service elevator wait any shorter. Also, the rooftop bar was closed due to the elevator and that was the main reason we booked this hotel.

Hampton Inn & Suites Birmingham-Downtown-Tutwiler
Very quiet and (soon to be) beautiful property. Interior is under renovation, so eating area for breakfast is down to the concrete floors in the hallway. There is no access to the gym. And my shower floor was cracked!

This is a good hotel in a great location to everything but it has terrible parking options and has even worse surrounding scenery and is majorly over priced.
