Amazing, atmospheric place. Beautifully laid out to keep the feel of a fortified manor.
My only disappointment was the bed. My room had two singles pushed together, which is fairly normal in Germany. However these were two narrow wooden beds, with the frames higher than the mattress. Whilst the style was in keeping with the room, the actual sleeping space was limited, and I kept kicking the frame during the night. Mattress was comfortable though.

Stayed here many time and always delighted by the quality of accommodation, food and levels of service. This hotel is one of our favourite places to stay. Absolutely fantastic.

The staff here are professional, warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and Uli in particular made us feel special. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for the way it treats it's guests, it's comfort and it's proximity to Rothenburg.

A beautiful, family-run, hotel in a lovely location within a reasonable (€20) taxi run of Rothenburg. Nice kitchen and a good bathroom in an annexed family suite. Excellent breakfast and kind staff. Would absolutely recommend and visit again.

What a lovely hotel in a pretty town. Everyone here was so friendly, rooms are very clean and well equipped, I loved the kitchen! I wish we could have stayed longer.

We stayed room only and our expectations were exceeded. The communal kitchenette room was excellent as we were able to make fresh drinks and have access to a range of chilled beverages at fair prices. Ideal if you are a late arrival or hadn’t had a chance to pick up anything.
The location was great as it was nice and quiet and a 1km good walk into town, welcome after a long drive.
The host is a lovely gent and very welcoming.
100% recommendation.

This hotel was excellent. We had booked a room for four and were given a three ensuite rooms that opened out as a 'mini suite'. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were very friendly. It was about a 10 minute walk into the town which is beautiful. The hotel recommended a 'potato restaurant' which was fantastic!

This is a delightful hotel it seems to grow out of the wall of the old city with fantastic views across wooded hills. The rooms are very comfortably and stylishly furnished and room 1 as well as a four post bed has its own private garden which is truly delightful to sit in during the summer. The breakfast room has lovely views across the valley and there is a small terrace to eat outside in good weather. The hotel is in a very quiet spot and ask is very peaceful. Lovely hotel in the heart of Rothenburg ob der Tober. A nice warm welcome, hotel staff were lovely especially in the morning at breakfast. Nice choice of food all served to our table. Our room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. We have stayed at this hotel before and although it is under new ownership it still is perfect. Will definitely be back !!
