"The location is great (even though the directions on the website and Expedia are wrong and we found the place with Apple Maps). We loved that it was easily walkable to downtown and plenty of options for activities nearby. The walking path from downtown to just down the road from the lodge was amazing. We are definitely planning to go back and try to book one of the cabins!!"

"Field Guide Lodge is in a perfect location, situated on the Mountain Road (otw to Smuggler’s Notch) and an easy walk to downtown. The host, Zane, was kind, resourceful, and helpful. My daughter and i rented a king suite. In a 3-night stay, there was no room service (coffee service and bathrooms not refreshed/replenished). Our room held an odor from a backed sewer line, or possibly, gas line. Zane did his best. Hallways in our building were too dark (hard to see key hole to door). BUT…Good vibe, good reliable continental breakfast. We loved the continuous fire in the pit just outside the bar area. Room was comfortable, spacious, and the fireplace/balcony were both nice. We would consider staying again."
