Great communication from the innkeeper and they did a great job meeting our needs for a late check in and early check out! Only minor issue was a powerful motion-activated light in the parking lot and some room noise from the neighboring room that woke us up briefly, but all in all was a great option and we'll be back! p.s. the Easter decorations were really impressive!

Everybody from the regular staff to the owner is fantastic. The food for breakfast is absolutely terrific and it was nice being able to have a nice long conversation with the owner of very humble woman who has done extremely well in her life she treats everybody it seems like equals and I really like seeing that. Her staff is so incredibly loyal towards her which speaks volumes, and this place was like a time capsule in a very positive way. It made me feel like my childhood again, and I really want to go back sooner than later.

The owner and the staff of this property were very friendly, accommodating, and attentive. The facility is kept in excellent condition; you can tell they take great pride in caring for the property. The breakfasts were DELICIOUS every morning. Laurie's attention to detail in superb! Can't wait to go back again! Thank you for a great 15-year wedding anniversary weekend!

The best place in Big Bear I ever been. Nice rooms, beautiful nature outside. It was very warm in room. Breakfast is amazing, but you must be there at 9AM. Despite we were late about 45mins on the first day we got our breakfast. Complimentary tea and soda, lots of games and movies. TV is very small though.

I usually never leave reviews, but they deserved it. Great Stay with Laurie, all the staff is kind and helpful. Strategically located in Big Bear, close to restaurants and ski resorts. Amazing breakfast! Will be going back for sure

What a lovely bed and breakfast. So glad to stay here and not a cabin which can be hit and miss. Rooms and property were spotless. Food was excellent. Service was welcoming. Will be back! Thank you Laurie and the rest of the team for making our stay so wonderful.

Great place for a quick getaway.
Fresh baked cookies upon arrival and also breakfast at 9am every night you stay. Very nice people and food is delicious! Close and walking distance to BBMR. Don’t bother parking just walk and avoid the traffic!

Fantastic experience! Quaint property. Wonderful attention to detail and care. The staff was also helpful in helping me to be prepared for the entire ski trip with helpful insights relative to ski lifts, parking, traffic in the surrounding area. I will definitely return!

What lovely and quaint hotel! Their breakfast is amazing! The staff is very attentive and Laura made several calls ahead of time to ensure that we would have breakfast to go for a day the mountain.

The host was extremely rude and was lacked hospitality. I had very few interactions with her but every single one she had attitude and talked down to me and my partners. She would sigh and roll her eyes and not respond. Everything else was nice but the staff were awful. Wouldn’t recommend coming

Definitely, probably it is the most family oriented and really exclusive hotel with a family-like atmosphere, home made breakfast and excellent service. The owner and the staff are just extraordinary people, highly professional, nice and caring.

The breakfast part of this experience is 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. My husband and I love the central location of this B&B. The atmosphere is the perfect amount of mountain feel. The owners have done a stellar job with the grounds. It truly is a beautiful place to get away from the city. Highly recommended!!!!!!

Absolutely stunning property!
We LOVED Apples! Hands down one of the best kept places I’ve stayed. I travel a lot and feel jaded by my experience but Apples totally nailed the entire stay. We loved their staff, we loved how every detail is thought of, the breakfasts were amazing and don’t even get me started on their awesome Halloween decorations! My husband and I are not typically B and B people so this was a pleasant surprise. We stayed in the Royal Gala room and had a pretty view of the back courtyard. Location wise I LOVED that it isn’t in The Village and so it’s much quieter. Also there is a great walking path right behind the property that we used multiple times throughout the day. I’ll definitely be telling my friends and Apples and coming back myself!

A great stay.
We had an amazing stay during snow season. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted with a warm welcome and given a tour of the place and facility. We were not able to join for breakfast the next morning so the chef put together a to-go breakfast for us to eat at the slopes that morning! So thoughtful!! We did, however partake in breakfast the next morning and wow what a fantastic meal that was. So carefully thought out right to the last detail. My husband is a hotel snob and he’s already talking about “when we go back to apples…”!! Stellar all the way and super kid friendly too. Highly recommend.

This place was better than i thought. Has nice cozy rooms to relax after a long day in the mountains.the service was on point. Every room has its own theme. The only complaint i have is the beds are not so comfortable, other than that its a great place to stay.

The place is very cute and very clean. However, there were some issues - we waited about 45 minutes after check in time to get checked in. We were fine waiting, but were less than thrilled that it seemed we waited so long because they forgot we were waiting. No apology. We understand COVID presents some major issues regarding breakfast but it still felt pretty much like an afterthought- we didn’t bother the second day (not that anyone offered when we checked out early anyway). Service felt kind of like we were a causing a hassle for being there. I was also alarmed the guy at the desk had a face shield with no mask (not and someone came out with no mask whatsoever when we were leaving.
