"It's called the "Crown" for a reason, and it's because it's at the very top of the canyon, and a very steep and narrow road to and from Mcleod Ganj, or anything, really. Have a car, be prepared to hire cabs, or just stay at the hotel and enjoy the views. Which, to be fair, are very nice. Out of 7 hotels in 7 cities in India in terms of service, the Luxe easily ranked last. The woman at the desk was proffesional, but the guy in an Addidas track suit handling our luggage did not approach Indian...

"Great location very good reception staff warm and welcoming and very efficient check in Rooms small and dingy wires not connected well room was smelly floor looked unclean Tv worked with it felt like it bathroom showers were fine Breakfast staff were very helpful but the egg guy needs to b clean looking and have white uniform not fliifthy overalls It was a pleasant stay though we only slept in the hotel at night and kept busy during the dsy"

"It's a great property with a great view, the food is expensive so I would recommend to opt for a Half Board meal plan. The food is tasy and staff is polite, helpful and hardworking. The Ropeway to McLeodganj is about 10km away only. It's a quiet property with great rooms. If you go for balcony make sure avoid ground floor as balcony is better if not on the ground floor. "
