This time we stayed three nights in Villa Mustafà. The location was ideal to explore Assisi, Perugia and Monte Falco. This is absolutely one of our favourite places to stay in the whole of Italy. The host Paola provides an absolutely delicious breakfast with home grown produce. When we arrived, Monte Falco was busy with a 'spectacolo' dance event and the town was very busy but Paola helpfully called to make a restaurant reservation.

This charming castle is truly a gem among Umbrian fields. Set on a hill, it's a very well-maintained and clean hotel, with a pool overlooking the nearby valley. The staff was amazing, and especially Daniela at the reception desk who made us feel like at home.
