"What an eclectic gem in the heart of Bergen! From the moment we arrived with a group of 6, the staff couldn’t do enough for us to make our stay memorable. We have stayed in boutique hotels in many European countries, and this was one, if not thee, best. From the great location-a 5 minute walk to Bryggen- to the wonderful included breakfast, to the one-of-a-kind decor,this was a treat. Our only complaint was that we were only staying 1 night before a cruise.. The staff always had smiles on their faces, and they truly made you feel like going the extra mile for our group was no problem. Alexandra greeted us like long lost family. I know this is a “gushing” review, but is deserved. I picked this hotel by its 4.8/5 rating on Trip Advisor, and it deserves a 6/5. If boutique hotels are up your alley, don’t miss it!"

"Lovely, peaceful place in a great location. The street outside can be bustling with people but once one steps into the hotel it is an oasis of peace. Very clean, helpful and personable staff. Breakfast and dinner buffets offered a great variety of tasty choices. Highly recommended. I would stay here again."

"Stayed 3 nights in a triple, one adult and two children. We stayed in the building across the street from reception and the restaurant. The room was basic but comfortable. The top maybe two floors are not updated as the bottom floors are. We were on the 8th floor and it did get warm but the patio door opened to help cool off the room. Towels are a bit worn. Definitely recommend the breakfast, it was something we all enjoyed. Coffee machine in lobby area was also appreciated and available at all hours. Foosball table in the lobby of second building was great for the kids. Location is excellent, short walk to fish market and to train station. Housekeeping came by daily to refresh the room. We did arrive in Bergen at about 11am but our room wasn't available until after 4pm."
