No shampoo, super small room, one of the elevators was broken. The staff at the bar were very friendly and considerate though. The price was low, but will not be going back to any City Boxes.

The light rail made it easy to commute to central Bergen. If you have a later flight it’s perfect for the airport. Do not recommend if You have to be at the airport before 5am. The light rail is not operating yet. There is very limited dining and almost no activities near the hotel. The hotel doesn’t have any amenities compared to hotels in Oslo and other Nordic cities. It was not the best in that regard, self check in unless you needed assistance. It did have a small “kitchen area” you had to pay for tea and coffee. The breakfast buffet you could purchase did not look worthwhile but each their own. However, it was clean and inside quiet. We did hear constant noise and disturbances outside our window near the Extra store. That was interesting.

Property is ok. You do a self check in but you need to ring for a person because it doesn't work. Parking is super expensive. Rooms are small, nothing special just a typical hotel.

Very convenient and easy stay. Cozy warm comfy bed for the best sleep I’ve had all week. Wish the room had water glasses to have a drink and wash rags. Coming from America and none of our stays have had wash rags, just big towels. Maybe it’s another European thing I don’t understand.

Citibox is a different concept than accommodations in US. There was no TV ( we all have access on our devices) and none of the nonsense small towels. The beds were so comfortable, the shower hot, and I was impressed with how comfortable everything was.

Great
Easy check in. Easy to get the bybannen from the airport and into town if wanted. We actually arrived in from the airport earlier than check in time but we’re able to check in. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was amazing!! We walked into central Bergen in about 25mins as we went through the park and took some photos near the fjord. We also used the electric scooters as there’s a cycle path down to town took

There is hotel staff on site to help when you need help. Good location, steps away from light rail to airport, bus station, railway station and downtown. Clean room, quiet. Restaurant in hotel. Nothing to complain, will stay in this hotel again.

Amazing Citybox Bergen
Had a very wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms and the hotel itself were very clean. It has a beautiful waiting area for guests to relax. The staff were super nice too and very helpful. The other good thing about this hotel is the location- just 2-3 mins walk to the street car and within 10 mins you are in the Bergen city center. The same streetcar takes you to the airport, train and bus terminals as well.

We had a hard time to check in since their system does not work with Expedia confirmation number and they don't have reception desk so we had to wait for their guest office to resolve our issue. Also a little pricy for what you get. Overall it was a good and clean hotel and had good access to public transportation.

Extremely basic hotel
Very basic hotel. They will make you pay to use a crib for a baby. Check in is done on a machine that didn't recognized our booking number. The shower doesn't has a curtain or something to separate it from the bathroom, every time you take a shower all the bathroom gets plenty of water. Location is nice and tram is very convenient. The JAJA restaurant is very nice and the workers there couldn't be nicer.

Interesting hotel with well priced rooms but with a culture of self help rather than a front desk or reception. Room was ok but quite basic and without a tv or a fridge

Comfortable hotel in good location
Hotel was great overall - good location, easy self check-in, service available at front desk whenever needed. They were able to provide a water boiler for the room, and had a communal refrigerator in the lobby to keep our labeled food overnight. There was a free coffee machine in the lobby, but unfortunately it was broken, so they just had instant available, but still nice that they offered for free. Room and beds were comfortable with good blackout curtains. A little pricey, but pretty much in line with other local accommodations.

The Citybox chain offers a no frills room so no TV but with comfortable beds, shower and washroom. Really clean and quiet. Downstairs there are hostel type areas for those who want to microwave food, sit and eat. This Citybox has a really nice bar attached downstairs which serves very decent food at a reasonable price (at least for Norway!). I’m a convert to the chain and will definitely stay again!

OK for one night
I understand the self check in process, but it is nice to have an employee there to ask questions. When I needed help, an assistant came, but acted rushed and annoyed. I was given an automatic "upgrade", which I was told because someone else needed my room. It was a bunch of bunk beds that made the space very cramped. I would have preferred asking or giving me what I booked this time around. Also, not sure what was going on most on the night on the floor above me, wether it was moving furniture or bodies, but it was VERY loud. The bathroom was nice though and decent lighting unlike most hotel bathrooms. I was trying to work late and had to move to the bed because the curtain did not cover the desk area. Overall the venue was nicer outside the actual room.

The bed was comfortable. The room was a decent size for having 4 people in there. There is a concierge computer downstairs that would assist, but we didn't use it. We did speak with the desk clerk to find a phone to use, and she had no phone and said that they can't let anyone use theirs. It was difficult to find the hotel at first (it was on the opposite side from where we were coming from so the sign was hidden), but it was fairly close to the bus and dining options.
