"We had to unexpectedly book a room due to delayed flights and A/C out at our house. Emilio was very pleasant at check-in. The room assigned to us had NOT been cleaned. Trash in both trash cans, filthy tabletop of crumbs and countertops that had spills that had not been wiped down. Mess in the bathroom sink. No linens on the bed and minimal towels in the bathroom. We requested another room and were told they were “full”. We ended up making our own bed, which was nothing more than a thin mattress on a metal frame, to expedite the process. Emilio did his best to assist us, and we are grateful for that. We were told at checkout that they “only have 3 maids to clean all the rooms.” I think management needs to have better oversight on what those 3 maids are doing. We chose this location because of excellent reviews, convenience to where we needed to be, and price. It didn’t work out the way we had hoped. The front desk did apologize for the mess; however, it wasn’t their fault to apologize for. This rating reflects the room condition and lack of attention to detail on the cleaning staff NOT the staff we encountered during our stay. I have stayed at Extended Stays before and had hoped for a better experience at this one."
