I have stayed in many high end hotels throughout the world and I have to say that this experience was superb from start to finish. Staff could not have been more professional and helpful. The room was superb and the setting was also great. All rooms are individually designed and the building dates back to the 15th century, so is characterful in many regards. If you're in Chambéry and you want a really good place to stay, I would strongly recommend this hotel.

Very helpful and welcoming host of charming chalet. Great breakfast choice and quality. Wonderful scenery and close to paths into the mountains and to nearby villages and towns.

Stayed at St Georges for a 5 night cycling trip. Family run hotel with very helpful staff. Hotel is clean, well maintained and the rooms are very comfortable. Breakfast was good. There is no restaurant or bar as such but you can still get a beer or soft drink with crisps and sit outside in the sun or in the lounge area. Parking is perfect with charging and a secure lock up for the bukes. Short walk into town. Definitely recommend and ideal for a cycling trip.

Great hotel for a short overnight stay. Close enough to the main roads with secure parking and still walking distance to be able to get something to eat. I will admit I've been there before which was a factor in my choice and would go there again.

Accommodation for the price was good. Room lighting was a bit dim but not really a problem.

Beautiful house in a beautiful setting, the host Alain could not have been more helpful or accommodating, this was a last minute booking after we desperately required accommodation overnight before moving on to our final destination and we left wishing we had stayed longer!

Great location, really friendly owner, felt very welcomed. Very good value for money as breakfast included too. Our second stay there as so good.

This is a beautiful old place with great charm and ambience. The rooms are beautifully appointed, with great beds and bathrooms and lots of little amenities. The customer service was above and beyond normal levels of service. One example (and there were many): When we arrived after a 7 hour drive with no food, the receptionist fixed us up with wine and cheese on the patio even though the restaurant wasn't open. We stayed here on a one night stopover when travelling to the alps from Antibes. Wow..! - super stylish and beautifully furnished with really helpful and friendly staff. Retro room but immaculate and comfortable. The restaurant was absolutely superb. We did a month long road trip in France this summer, and the dinner experience was easily our favourite of the trip. We were even invited into the kitchen to meet the fantastic staff..! Simply fantastic. Highly recommended.

A last minute decision to have a few days in Courchevel 1850. The standard of service from all staff was faultless. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The restaurant was superb, the bar staff friendly and courteous, the ski hire and ski room excellent. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. You certainly get what you pay for.

Our second stay at Le Pelican. Perfectly located for Annecy Old Town. The hotel has “all you require” for a holiday stop over.

Stayed 3 nights and all the reception staff were delightful and very friendly - even though our French is not fluent! Hotel all very smart and spotlessly clean. lovely comfortable bed and great shower. The only down side was noise from the street even with the window closed. Not much the hotel can do about that but found it difficult to sleep on the Friday night. Well sound proofed between rooms. Hotel short walk to river, good restaurants and museums. Just a 20 minute walk to the bus...
