At this price point, Hotel Grand, in Samakov, is excellent value. The owner, Stanislav, was very helpful and gave us great service. The room was fine, the restaurant was fine, the bar was fine. There are 4 large supermarkets very near the hotel. We like supermarkets :) We had a great, comfortable stay. Thank you Stanislav and your team :)

We loved our stay at Rila! It was the best location for the slopes & we loved the huge variety of food we were offered for breakfast and dinner!
We loved the surprise of having a live singer in the lounge downstairs after dinner, it was a lovely addition to some of our evenings!
Our room was really spacious too & staff were really helpful at reception when we needed anything!

Arrived Sunday afternoon. I didn't use the shuttle service from the hotel, contact them before hand to arrange this. Taxi was 8 LEV with a tip and took about 10/ 15 minutes.
My room was ready and very good food is available at the bar. In the evening the piano was being played, contemporary Beatle songs, etc arrangements, it was very good.
I stayed for two nights for business and the location was convenient for the airport and client.
Unfortunately I didn't get chance to visit the center of...

This hotel is a little hidden gem, just outside of Sofia. A 10 lev taxi ride direct into the centre. Booked for by the very friendly and helpful staff.
A lovely greeting in our room, only small but, a nice little touch that was well received.
The room decor may not be to everyones taste but the room was massive, clean tidy, well ventilated with a lovely view.
Food in the restaurant at breakfast was plentyful.
Should I return to Sofia, and its highly likely I will this will be my first choice.

This hotel is the only one you really want to stay at when you're going for a conference at the Expo Center in Sofia. The hotel itself offers a near perfect service, the expo center is litterally 2 minutes walk away, and if you want to go in town, a further 2 min walk will take you to the metro station. Execpt that, don't count on any other interesting surroundings.
