Old hotel with character but modern facilities, particularly the bathroom. Rather soft bed and pillow, but that seems to be standard for many German hotels. Good location in old town with free parking but be prepared to carry your luggage a bit. Note many rooms are in a separate annex – a recently converted old building about three minute’s walk from the main hotel with no lifts.

The Staff is fantastic

This establishment is a little gem tucked away in a beautiful location besides a lake. The staff are so friendly and accommodating and the service is excellent. The food and drink are delicious and a joy to eat and drink. They welcome pets and embrace their presence. A must place to enjoy either as a stay or just for dining.

Clean rooms nice staff fine breakfast and easy parking

Although it on the outskirts of the city it is a lovely, friendly hotel where you are made to feel really welcome. The rooms are kept really clean and well maintained. It is quite close to the University and about a 10 minute walk from the station. You have to walk into the city for food. About a 20 minute walk. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Beautiful decorated clean modern rooms with an amazing view over the vineyards. We were pleased with both the evening meal and breakfast - with lots of amazing vegan food. We are definitely planning on coming back in summer because the terrace looks amazing and we would love to see the view again when everything is green!
