"The hotel appears to have been fully renovated in the recent past. Condition and cleanliness were pretty good. It’s about 25 minutes drive north from Dublin airport so suited us an our last night before an early morning flight. We had dinner in the bar area. It’s recently been done up. Food was ok but nothing to get excited about. No other options close by. Breakfast was included and quite reasonable quality and range but one waitress just couldn’t keep up."

"The building was magnificent, every room was so grand. We were on the top floor so that was extremely tiring but very wide stairs so that helped. Breakfast was superb. My only criticism was the soap dispensers weren't great. Luckily, we had our own soap so there was no need for us to go up and down those stairs! I must say though, my daughter (obviously, far younger) was fine with the top floor."

Michael is the proprietor and is very friendly and easy to talk to. The gardens are lovely and there are several restaurants within easy walking distance of this charming small town. Rooms were clean but the only issue we had was that our sheets weren't changed, usually this wouldn't have bothered me as we only stayed 2 nights but due to heavy duvets my partner had been sweating the night before and had to get into a damp bed on the second night"
