"We stayed here for one night before we took a cruise from the port. It is very central, and right next-door to both the train station and the bus station. It is a short walk into town for restaurants and bars, and a short walk to the Cruise terminal. The rooms were very comfortable and staff very friendly n"

"Great location, next to train station. Simple amenities, no extra. But good enough for daily sleep and use. No air-con, but I came at month when it's not hot, so natural air is good enough. Got free coffee and tea."

"The building is impressive with its great lobby (of perhaps faded art deco glamour) of another era. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is not modern and fancy, but clean and functional. Room was very comfortable. Kiel is spread out and the hotel is a bit far to walk with luggage, as I discovered, but a straight shot to train station and downtown. The terrace in front of lobby was a nice place to sit to enjoy the breezes and chill (it's Kiel!), at least until smokers claim it as their own. The breakfast area is very nice and the breakfast excellent: I highly recommend the breakfast, on its merits, but especially since there are few restaurants nearby."
