"The location and surroundings were the only positive aspects.
Unfortunately, almost everything else was disappointing. The property did not live up to expectations, and the service was poor. The place felt poorly maintained, and the overall experience was not worth the money. Staff were not very accommodating, and our concerns were not handled properly. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and generally well maintained. The room was tidy and the staff was polite and helpful during the stay.
One thing to note is transportation: there are very few taxis available in the area and Grab does not operate here, so getting around usually requires using tricycles.
If you know how to manage locally, most necessities are easy to find. There is a large local market just a 5-minute walk away, as well as shops and food options nearby.

Nirvana Resort is a lovely place to stay and relax whilst in puerto galera.
The resort and the rooms are all finished to high standard and very well maintained. Thorough cleaning everyday stands out as does the cheerful and helpful service from the team at Nirvana.
Food is very good, breakfast and dinner extensive menu for all tastes.
We will return to Nirvana if we are in puerto galera in future.

Victoria’s bed and breakfast was lovely. The room was so big and the mattresses so comfortable. It’s really easy to find and a short walk to White Beach. The host is helpful, generous and friendly. I loved the breakfast (bacon, eggs, hash brown as well as Filipino offerings). I also loved the cats milling around on the roof terrace. Homely and clean. I would stay again.
