Boat-to-shore, the expedition to Mavulis (Y'Ami) Island is not for the faint hearted. This is the northernmost tip of the Philippines 🇵🇭. Any further and one will be crossing to Taiwan territory already. This island is uninhabited save for some soldiers who has a small detachment station there. Getting to the peak (719 feet) can be a bit challenging for people who are not used to steep trekking/climbing. But the view at the top is nothing short of breath taking! Singing "Lupang Hinirang" (the Philippine national anthem) while hoisting the Philippine flag was quite emotional.
