Everything was generally very good, and the service was excellent! The one slightly negative point for me was the lack of choices of the restaurant menu.

The room seems to be new, everything was clean and smelling good. The staff were amazing! They even gave a special kid set to my toddler. I have not to say than I’m glad to choose this hotel.

Nice, clean hotel within walking distance of train station.Conveniently located to tram line for quick and easy transport to the old town. Good choices at breakfast too. Would recommend.

The hotel is really good, not only it is modern and well maintained, but offers one of the best buffet breakfast i have experienced. Staff is friendly and helpful. Don't be fooled by the location (which on paper seems a bit far from the main city centre; the location is actually quite convenient.... it is a tram stop away from the main train station (5 min including walking to the tram stop), but if you want to go directly to the city there is another tram stop nearby that will take you there in 10 mins or less. I found it quite convenient and also away from the noise and busyness of the city. Internet was fast and they have other amenities like a gym. The airport is some 20 mins away, just be careful when calling a taxi or uber as the app doesn’t seem to recognise well the location, but i found that if you pick the ibis budget hotel as the pick up location (which is next door) you will have no problems., plus there is parking for taxis there (the main entrance of the Novotel has no parking for taxi pickip).

Great Hotel with transport links nearby
Very pleased with our stay at Novotel Basel City, rooms were very modern and clean. Although our room was right beside the hotel lift we never heard any noise from outside or adjacent rooms. Although the hotel is in a quiter area it is located not far from the main train station and within short walking distance of multiple tram stops to transfer to main station and rest of Basel. I would definitely book again

Lovely breakfast. Very kind and friendly staff. Handy for public transport. Room was so hot it was impossible to sleep. Using the AC did not help. Had to open a window and then the road noise from the busy intersection outside also prevented sleep. Not good for the environment.

Good family room - very clean and well appointed. Convenient for A2 road as a stop off en route to France. Great breakfast and really nice staff. Parking is right underneath the hotel - it’s a little difficult to find the entrance. I’d suggest you call the hotel in advance for directions.

The property is in a great location. Issue on this stay was the construction happening right outside the hotel which started every day at 7am.

Stayed in Novohotel for 7 days and it was amazing! They clean the room everyday and give us 2 water free everyday and free tea and coffee in the room. They gave us a free basel card one for each person but in basel switzerland they always provide it free in return to pay for their city tax 4 ch per day each person. Breakfast is the same everyday. Imagine that we stayed there for 7 days and having the same food! Haha! Its 14minutes walk to the train station or take the tram 10 or 11 you walk 3mins and they will take you to basel sbb station.
