Barra de Coyuca Beach

Amenities and their policy was bad. As they have every room setup for 2 person mentioned in Expedia and during my booking I only mentioned my name. They charged me $40/night cause I didn’t mention my wife name. It was ridiculous.

My wife and I stayed at Seadust Cancun Resort from July 20–25, 2026. The resort has a beautiful lobby, friendly staff, clean rooms, great air conditioning, comfortable beds, good drinks, and a nice pool layout. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were always helpful. Unfortunately, the overall experience was very underwhelming and didn’t match what was advertised. The resort promotes 9 restaurants, but several are cafés or grab-and-go stations rather than actual restaurants. During our stay, one restaurant never opened, another charged an extra US$30 per person, leaving very few included dining options. The food was by far the biggest disappointment—limited variety, poor dinner quality, and restaurant hours that made it difficult to eat without long waits. The beach was beautiful at first, but large amounts of seaweed accumulated throughout the week and were never cleared. Housekeeping was inconsistent as our towels were removed and not replaced, leaving us waiting over 1.5 hours after calling for fresh ones. The resort also lacked activities for adults, with many amenities and entertainment areas seemingly unused or not promoted. Surprisingly, there was no airport shuttle service, adding another unexpected expense. Overall, I’d rate Seadust 5/10. It’s best suited for families with young children. With more honest advertising, better food, improved restaurant availability, and more activities, it could be a much better experience.
