The Salema Beach Village ishigh end with top spec properties. The properties are very well built and tastefully (yet simply) decorated. We stayed in Townhouse No.111 which is a 3-bedroom and at the back of the complex, overlooking the pool. Once the pool bar opens it will be next door to this property. Stayed for 1 week mid September 2014- ages 66, 35, 33 and 1 year old. Firstly the apartments- huge! You can tell they are built to be residential originally as they are really spacious with a fully equiped kitchen, utility room, living area and 3 bedrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for two nights on route elsewhere. The staff are absolutely charming and helpful in every way. Available meals were simple and limited, but were more than adequate and were reflected in their lower cost, particularly as the setting from the veranda easily made up for it. Suitable for small family units with young children. Sounds snooty to say but no riffraff here- everyone is well turned out in tailored shorts/summer dresses etc. Not many tats, football tops, or larger drinking 'here mate' riffraff. The parents appear middle class hard working- podgy dads with trophy wives and the kids are called Emily, charlotte, Henry, Sebastian etc. (I laughed at the pool). Whilst the hotel offers comfortable, clean facilities, it is the staff that truly make this an outstanding experience. Nothing is too much trouble and all help is made with a cheery smile. This hotel is just wonderful. The staff are amazing and will do anything to help you with everything you need. I had a studio room with a kitchen, it is very well equipped and even the freezer works which is a huge plus in a hotel! The bed is the comfiest I've slept in a long time. Great hotel, check in was simple, rooms quite large and airey. Stayed for three nights and had a wonderful stay. Hotel also offers free wifi In reception area.

Have stayed in this hotel many times. We love the atmosphere there. The bathrooms are a little tired looking, but there is always hot water. The best feature is the views across to the historic town of Silves.

Beautiful views from a quality room. Fresh bread left at the room each day was a bonus. To hear the crashing of the waves as you fall asleep is soo nice.

Just returned from 4 night stay, found all staff really pleasant and helpful. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment and although it appeared quite dated it was very clean and spacious and had everything you would need for a self catering holiday. The hotel was only a 5 minute walk to the Strip with lots of bars and restaurants and we walked to the Old Town in about 20 mins. I would definitely return to this hotel.
