Lovely quiet hotel, great food and choice. Even in busy times the restaurant is well managed. Good to have a choice of swimming pools also and we always got a sunbed in the patio pool.

A very pleasant stay at this hotel. Beautiful location, surrounded by the nature, piece and quiet. Our room was really spacious with 2 bathrooms, a big bed with tv, living room with another tv and a kitchen area. The staff was very friendly and always helpful, rooms were cleaned everyday. Overall it's a modern hotel that I truly recommend.

Lovely clean apartments.....great jacuzzi and pool. Ideal for a quiet holiday. Small square with a supermarket, handful of restaurants and a couple of shops but nothing else! Bus stop to albufeira.....not Vilamoura..however you can catch bus to olhas do agua (next village) and then catch faro bus which calls at vilamoura, quarteira etc...tourist information don't tell you this as they want to sell you their shuttle service (much more expensive!)

Lovely hotel, clean, nice food and friendly staff. Great entertainment team too

We stayed here for 10 days in August on an all inclusive basis. The hotel is modern and clean and the pool and pool area are fab with plenty of space and sun beds around the pool. Just across the road (a 2 min walk) is a wonderful beach and it is only a 15 min stroll into the centre of Lagos. There is a tourist train which runs every hour from just outside the hotel which takes you on a loop around Lagos. The breakfasts were amazing and the other meals suited our family. We thoroughly...

Lovely hotel, staff very friendly

We had a great stay at this hotel, lovely rooms and the staff are excellent. We like to go out of season i.e.:April,may,September because the hotel is child friendly and has a child's activities throughout the busy periods as well as adult persuits ,but not quite are thing.

I was a bit dubious about the Sau Rafael Suite Hotel after I had read all the reviews but was pleasantly surprised on arrival. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and even though we had not specified a pool or sea view - we had both. The buffet was not huge, then again it is not a big hotel, but it was of good quality and there was sufficient variety. The a la carte restaurant was very nice, although the service could have been slightly better in there. The afternoon snacks were...

A place where one was able to relax, be well fed, enjoy the restaurants on the beach close by....11 relaxing days not needing to go anywhere else!

Stayed for two weeks, very happy with their Customer Service and Housekeeping staff. The best thing is when we asked to be transferred to a different room the next day, they very kindly honoured our request and they put us in probably one of the best ones on the 9th floor, with great views. Of course, this is dependent on availability. It is good value for money considering the location, just a few steps away to the mini-supermarket, beach, cafes, and restaurants. Did not use the facilities...

We stayed as a party of 3 in two lateral sea view double rooms. Delightfully, there was no charge for under-occupation. Each room was spacious and well equipped with modern furnishings and tv and a sparklingly clean bathroom. The rooms were attentively serviced with cleaning and towel change each day. A wifi connection was available at 15 euro per week. Speed and reliability proved good. Hotel Reception was warm and helpful, with several languages at the command of staff (certainly Portuguese,...

A two night stay to view local houses and to visit a fair. Good value for money, a nice clean hotel with ample parking.

Very clean hotel, great staff, huge rooms,in central area close to shops, restaurants and beach but not noisy . Defiantly going back

Food was good and the environment was brilliant

Even though it was carnival weekend, we were still given the attention we needed.

Check in was fast and effortless, you do have to pay 10 euro deposit which they return on checkout for the room key, so be mindful of that. If you travel with expedia make sure you tell them you have paid expedia so they dont ask you to pay again as my understanding is there is a delay between expedia and the hotels you stay at on payment and it looks like you havent paid but if you explain there is no issue. This was a stunning hotel in an even more stunning location, we were in room C209...

Hotel in a perfect location adjacent to Oura Beach & near to, but not uncomfortably close to the nearby entertainment area (The strip). Hotel is clean, with well kept grounds & helpful staff. Try the nearby Calipto restaurant, in appearance it looks unremarkable, but the fish & meat dishes are freshly prepared & extremely tasty & extremely good value (€20 - €24 for 2 meals & drinks); we eat here most days.

This is my third stay in these apartments. I love the ease of eating when and where you want instead of eating with others at a set time in half board hotels. There is a good supermarket just a few streets away to stock up and a Modelo half an hours walk away. There is a free bus to the old town and back if you want the return trip, I walked it back in 45 minutes after stopping off at Modelo to stock up on a few things.

Rooms where very spacious and clean. Facilities all worked well. Everything went smoothly.

From check-in to check-out, this hotel was first class. The staff were well-trained, friendly and efficient. The breakfast and dinner buffets were of good quality, plenty of variety and routinely topped-up. Cleanliness throughout the hotel was outstanding (lots of high gloss surfaces and all spotless). The room was also of high-quality, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The only shortcoming was a slight lack of storage space in the room. We travel very 'light' but, even for us, some additional...
