VERY AVERAGE. Convenient and decent location. And slightly cheaper than most hotels in areas, but you get what you pay for. Room was WAY small compared to photos. Bathroom dirty and overall the room didn’t portray a very clean, sanitized environment. Good security protocols. Ps I asked for some coffee early jn tne morning before heading to airport but they said I had to pay for it. What $300 plus/night hotel doesn’t offer free coffee for its customers??

The hotel was ideally located very near the Ramblas and easy to find. The staff in reception were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help. The room was very modern, clean and had everything we needed including toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors and even fragrance for the pillow. They also provided earplugs which were needed as the only fault I could make is the level of noise coining from outside the hotel. It’s a very busy local community and so people were out and about seemingly all night long. The earplugs did their trick though. Would definitely recommend.

Good budget hotel
We stayed here for 6 nights without breakfast. The location is very central and a convenient walk to most places but the area itself is sketchy. They do have 24/7 staff in the lobby so no one can get in. Also, the staff is very nice. They don’t have a fridge in the room so for a longer stay it can be not great. They fill up your water at the front desk and have free coffee and tea after 12pm but dont have coffee machines or hot water kettles in the room. It was noisy outside but noise doesn’t bother me so I was ok. We picked the hotel because it was best priced in what we thought was a good location. I do recommend it but just know the things I wrote above :)

We really enjoyed our stay at Niu Barcelona. It was in a great location for restaurants and walking the city. The staff here are incredibly kind and helpful. They smile and say hi to you whenever you are entering or leaving the property. The rooms are small, but clean. We liked the walk-in showers (which had great water pressure), the beds were extremally comfortable and the A/C was very strong. The area the hotel is located in is not the best, but at no point did we feel unsafe. There were actually many restaurants that were within a 3min walk from the hotel that were some of our favourite spots. We highly recommend and hope to someday be back. Thank you for a great stay! :)

Very convenient location, walkable to central destinations. Busy area with a lot of restaurants/bars, but our room had effective noise cancellation so we had no issues there. Rooftop pool was also great! My one qualm is that I wish staff would take COVID-19 precautions, but I understand this is no longer the norm for this area.

Great Hotel lovely and small, staff always made us feel at home. Marco who checked us in was especially brilliant! Don’t be put off by travel guides saying not to come to Raval area, we are a young couple and got on absolutely great! The only minor thing I could fault was the extractor fan in the bathroom didn’t work, but that is it! Will be back!

Parties and residents' chats in front of the Hotel go on day and night. The hotel windows are not sound proof at all. Basically, the people outside the hotel have the right to make noises day and night, but the hotel guests don't have the right to sleep at night. The hotel photos on the website show a 5-star hotel facilities, but the real hotel indeed has facilities of a motel. My entire stay in the hotel feels like a scam or a nightmare. I wish I could get my money back.

We absolutely loved our stay here. We arrived at the hotel hours before check in time but were informed we could store our bags safely behind the check in desk so this allowed us to go and explore a bit first. The receptionist asked us if we had ever been to Barcelona before and when she found out we hadn’t she provided us with a map of the city and highlighted all the key tourist attractions and other places we might want to visit and helped us navigate our way around and this was a massive help! Every member of staff we spoke to was so approachable and friendly and really added to our experience. Our room was perfect. It was just big enough for the two of us with a comfortable bed, small balcony and storage space for all our clothes. The bathroom was lovely and clean and had toiletries provided. They did have a hair dryer but this made a bit of a weird noise when used but we had our own anyway so it wasn’t an issue. The area is quite loud at night which might be an issue for some people but didn’t really bother us that much, but the room does also provide ear plugs. We realised we didn’t bring a plug adapter for our UK plugs but when we went to the reception they provided us with two which was a massive help! The hotel also has a rooftop pool and sun lounger area which is only very small but a lovely place to chill after a long day of walking. We only went up once for an hour but it was nice having the option. Overall we loved the hotel and would definitely recommend.

Excellent staff with small, but clean rooms. Located in a transitional neighborhood in which we warned against walking carrying cellphones at night (although an issue for much of Barcelona.) The biggest problem, however, was that the temperature in the room was 77 degrees Fahrenheit when we arrived and the a/c was not working in ours or in any other available room. We slept with a fan.

The area around this hotel is very shady. Saw local muslim men congregating till weird hours very late at night. Did not feel safe. The side streets were very dirty. The hotel itself and the rooms are very small with no fridge, no sofa hardly any window. Its not 3 or even 2 stars. Not worth the money they charge. The bathroom smells funky since there is no ventilation. If able to try to avoid unless you get dirt cheap rate.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel ac was in heat mode even when the temperature outside was high they gave us cooling fans for the room. The area outside the hotel was dirty and unsafe, but the unsafe is for Barcelona as a whole.

Property is very central and easy to get to from airport. Staff are exceptional. They go the extra mile to make sure you feel welcomed. But the plaza in which the hotel is, it's extremely loud. You just cannot sleep. I could not sleep for even 1 hour in 3 nights. People sit in that plaza all night long and party. It's full of restaurants and bars. Rooms are not sound proof.

The hotel was good, staff was friendly The area was a bit shady but we did not have any issues walking at night A bit noisy sometimes a different hours of the night. I was able to get used to it. Property was located close to the metro , las ramblas.

Imaging you arrive to Barcelona for the first time in your life, to discover your hotel is located in the worst neighborhood, which is unsafe, even people at the location advised us to be careful. We felt unsafe at this location and decided to leave the next morning, booked at a hotel in a different area which was quite nice and safe.

Nice place for families. Small swimming pool for kids. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast is tasty. Area around the hotel is nice with a lot of necessary stores, easy to novigate to the Center of Madrid. I recommend this place.

The staff at reception were super friendly and helpful! The rooms were clean and modern. Only fault was the shampoo not being very good and it wouldn’t wash out of our hair properly after using it haha! Other than that no complaints :)

Frustrating Experience
Room wasn't clean when we checked in - bathroom shower had mold on outside, bed sheets had residue from previous guest's clothes. Room was incredibly noisy from other guests arriving late until 4 a.m., and thin windows barely muffling the outside noise. We checked out 3 nights early after these issues and were told by the desk clerk that we'd be getting a refund for the remainder of the trip. After we left, we were told we'd be penalized one night, which was a completely different thing than they said to our face. Possibly the worst hotel experience we've gone through. If you do stay here, get everything in writing and force the staff to give you receipts.

Dear Mr. Moran, We are not surprised to read this comment as you threatened to write it yesterday, by email, if we did not completely refund your reservation. Here are two issues. The first is about the quality of our service. After checking in, you told us that you had found cleaning deficiencies in the shower. Our cleaning staff came back into your room to fix them. We already explained that, actually, it was not dirt, it was wear and tear. As for the sheets, of course sheets were clean, from the laundry room to your bed. It is offensive, and it is not true, that the sheets were used for other people before you. In fact, we received very good comments about the cleanliness of the hotel. Anyway, you were not satisfied and asked to cancel the reservation after having slept one night. And here we have the second issue. We applied the established policy and returned an amount of money that you accepted and signed. After this, you realised that the amount was not correct, and yesterday, the hotel returned another amount, corresponding to one night's stay and the tourist taxes for the nights that you had not enjoyed. You have the proof of this second return. We regret that you did not enjoy the hotel. We also regret the misunderstanding that seems to have occurred in this situation. But you accepted cancellation policy when you booked. Best Regards,

Very clean and comfortable
The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable for a couple of days. The area isn't the best but great location. You can hear in the room all the street noise and people talking from the outside, maybe the insolation isn't good enough.
