Comfortable and convenient. The hotel is located next to the Gracia district and very convenient for ambling around this beautiful neighborhood. Just around the corner from the hotel is a nice casual little South East Asian hole in the wall called, I think, Yummy Yabby, and about a four minute walk away is Bar Bodega Quimet, a great place for tapas and vermouth.

HG City Suites is a convenient hotel a bit outside the city centre. It’s about a 5 min walk to a metro station so it was still convenient to get to places by metro or even walking. The room was pretty spacious for European standards and very clean. It included a large comfortable bed, small kitchenette with dishes and cutlery, big bathroom with powerful rain shower, and other amenities like an iron, hairdryer and coffee machine. There were a few things that made me give a lower rating: 1. While the shower had great water pressure and a big rainfall showerhead, water would splash everywhere onto the floor because there was no glass door or curtain. The bathroom floor was often soaking wet and we’d have to use a spare hand towel to mop it up. 2. The hairdryer was attached to the wall below the bathroom counter, making it too low to be usable (I had to crouch to use it). This might be because we were in a room with accessibility features but it seemed like only the bathroom had accessibility features and not the rest of the room. 3. On our last night, which was before a public holiday, street noise kept us up all night. It seemed like a bunch of teenagers were hanging outside and talking all night (from about 2am to 6am). I’m not sure if there was a club or something downstairs. Our room faced a chicken restaurant. I don’t know if the weekends would be like this either as we stayed from a Sunday to a Wednesday. Overall though, we were satisfied with our stay.

The suit was clean, comfortable and with everything necessary for a traveler. The area around the hotel is very nice and not too far from the city sightseeing. Bus and subway stops very close to the hotel. Many dining options around the hotel too.

Very quiet at nights!!! The staff is amazing, everyone is very friendly and professional, were always ready to help and answer any questions. The hotel is very clean, they have coffee and bottled water in the lounge, coffee is very delicious!!! Location is within a walking distance from the subway and other transportation. Right around the corner you can get a very delicious breakfast and some amazing gyros with drinks. Definitely highly recommend and will be coming back!

Would go back. Bottled water provided. Location is good metro stations 5 minutes walk. Stayed in rooms with kitchen which were spacious and well equipped. Slept well ...barely noticed any outside noise. Housekeeping does start around 9am and so can dusturb having a late sleep in. If you are not particular about having room with a view or some rooms slightly dark..this apartment hotel is an excellent choice.

Great hotel not very far from the city centre, but not inundated with tourists either. Via Augusta was quieter than we expected, and we had a lovely time. We didn't end up using the cooktop or the microwave, but enjoyed using the bigger fridge.

A nice comfortable room to come back to after exploring Barcelona. The room was quiet at night (for the city) and provided all of the necessities. Stove top, mini fridge, and microwave with an extra sink was really nice to have as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Spring in Barcelona
Ideally located. Far enough away from crowds but lose enough to walk or easy access to metro. Really great restaurant, Farro, just across the street. Room always clean. Spacious suite with cooking which we didn’t us as we ate out all the time. The front desk staff was always present and pleasant. A wonderful week.

This property is nice. Modern and very clean. Good staff. provided free bottle water and milk in room. Negatives: it says there is dining a bar and onsite parking. No dining or bar onsite. Parking is offsite but hotel can use parking garage behind hotel/stamps ticket so ok. It's no smoking, but guests were smoking pot&cigaretts in their room which the smells seeped into our room thru vents. Lights and AC are controlled with access cardkey. AC was motion controlled so it shuts off at night when sleeping even with card in control slot and room got too warm, big negative and very annoying. Overall good place for the price-very clean, modern, new firm beds, good water pressure in shower. heated towel bar. Quiet too

An excellent choice
A terrific hotel, we were both really impressed with this place. Decent location about 5 min walk from Fontana metro (line 3 - green) and some bus stops. Plenty of supermarkets nearby. The hotel seemed quiet and we were delighted to get a free upgrade to a room with a little kitchen. The facilities were great in the room with a fridge and a coffee machine. There was also a free hot drinks station on the first floor. We had one minor issue whereby the bathroom sink wasn't draining well. We mentioned it in the morning and it was fixed by the time we came back after sightseeing - perfect service. The reception staff we encountered were all polite. All in all an excellent choice for a Barcelona stay!

The room was spacious with small sitting area and kitchenette. We were there 8 nights so having some extra space was helpful. Staff was very helpful. The towels were a little threadbare at times.

They do not have their own parking lot so keep in mind you need to pay at a nearby lot and sometimes that lot is full. The rooms are very small and the AC keeps it bearable at best but does not cool down to comfortable levels.
