We were sent away to another property, MH Apartment upon arrival at Grandom Suites on Dec 28, 2019! We did not consent to this change!! We had planned activities around Grandom Suites neighbourhood. The apartment at the alternate location is old, yes spacious, but with dated fixtures. The bathroom is clean but unpleasant . The shower has no water pressure, and hot water was scarce, most of the time it was just lukewarm!! Not satisfactory.

Great value for money
We are a family of 5 pax on vacation in Barcelona. The apartment was well equipped, nicely equipped kitchen, quiet, clean and comfortable. the location is 5-8 minutes from the center of Barcelona, well connected with buses and metro to anywhere..

Not a Hotel
My husband, 2 teenagers, and I were cruising out of Barcelona and arrived 2 nights early to experience the town. When we arrived at the address given by Grandom Suites, we were told that they were over booked at that building and that they would pay for a taxi to take us to a different building Grandom Suites owns. The new apartment would not be ready until later in the afternoon. They did as they said, but this made us very uncomfortable since this was our first exposure to Barcelona. The new building was in the same general vicinity (a few blocks away) of the original building; however, the entryway to the new building was very dark and not nearly as inviting as the building we were told we would stay in. This is not a hotel operation, so if you are booking this, just know that it is more like an Airbnb. When the taxi dropped us off at the new building, we pressed the call button outside of the building and a lady answered to let us in the lobby. She said that someone would be down in a moment. Several minutes later, a gentleman came down to bring us to the suite. He was very kind and ultimately we received what the website said we would....a 2 bedroom/ 1 bath apartment with a living room and kitchen. We had looked at staying in a hotel in Barcelona, but to stay in this same area, it was going to cost around $800-$900/night. Our total for 2 nights at this apart. was $625. The apart. was clean and overall served its purpose, but we would most likely not stay here again.

Overall okay apartment, i would rate 3.5 star, location is very good, staff is very friendly and helpful, daily cleaning service was good. location is good, very central and walk able distance to lot of places only issues are limited hot water supply and quality of double bed was not good, it was like a spring mattress and not comfy!

Great trip, great apartment, great service; shame about the traffic noise at night. Much of it could have been prevented with a little more effective soundproofing on the balcony doors.

Good location in Barcelona
We loved the location of our apartment and we had no real complaints but we could smell a lingering cigarette smoke throughout (despite plenty of notices advising the building and apartment to be smoke free), and this left us feeling everything was a bit tired and not perfectly clean.

Nice location and friendly staff!
Everyone was so friendly! The room is large and clean. The location is close to a lot of attractions and there is a big grocery store across the plaza. At night, is it quite safe to walk around. There were a few days we came back around midnight and it was perfectly safe. I would recommend this hotel to my friends!

Nice friendly staff but that is all.
Great customer service upon arrival. It was a nice touch having a bathroom and coffee and snack room at your disposal when you are waiting to check in. However this is where the nice part ends. As soon as we entered our apartment from one of the smallest and oldest lifts in Spain we were greeted with a strong smell of mould. The main Bathroom was putrid to say the least. From the floor to the ceiling It was that bad that we only showered on the first of two nights then simply closed the main bathroom door and refused to enter. Mind you the portable shower head also fell apart and could not be put back in its cradle. The strong smell of mould made this entire apartment unbearable. The main bed was two singles pushed together where at night they seemed to separate leaving a great dividing between the middle, the mattresses and pillows were also very uncomfortable. The 2nd main bedroom was the smallest we have ever seen, how they call this a second bedroom and then squeeze a double mattress in there is still a mystery. We hardly entered the Kitchen as the smell of mould through the place turned us off so we never ate in. Totally disappointed to say the least and this was the worst we had seen out of all the apartments we have stayed in through our 6 week European adventure.

Being in Barcelona, really part of the city.
While we only stayed there one night, it was the first time I had ever been in Barcelona. When traveling, I of course like to stay in a nice, comfortable place, which it certainly was. It also, however, gave one the feeling of being in the City, close to the people, parks, places. You had a chance to feel the pulse of the city, enervating and relaxing at the same time. I long to go back and stay much longer and see more of this jewel.

Nice hotel close to center
It's very nice location. We were trying to find a good restaurant to eat and walked for one hour then we realized that there is a great restaurant just beside this hotel. Great food!

Hotel in city center
Hotel is fine. The buzzer kept going off every half hour so could not go to sleep all night. No front office after 7 pm and no one was picking up the phone either.

Overall Great and fit the 5 of us perfectly. The pull out couch was very hard to put away and the washing machine got locked with all of my clothes in it but there were very nice and accommodating about everything.

Location was great. The maintenance and appearance of room needs some updating. Towels have seen their better days. Lack of hotel amenities like hand soap was a little disappointing. No refills when we used up our napkins, coffee, etc.

It was pleasant and a short visit. Better AC would help as at night it gets a little hot. We had a little trouble working the AC control so maybe it was our fault.

Good location for sight seeing and hop-on hop-off
Very pleasant stay. Second bedroom was really like a box but adequate for sleeping. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Lots of steps but there was an available elevator. Location to the La Ramblas and other sights was within aceptable distance. The stop for hopon/hopoff bus was only 3 direct blocks from hotel and we could access that for transportation as necessary. Lots of restaurants and food close by; even a McDonalds within 4 blocks. Very satisfied with accomodations

Location was good, but apartment only had 1 bathroom between the 4 of us which was disappointing. We arrived late (out of hours) to check into the apartment and there was no one at reception so we had to call someone and waited around 5-10 mins for them to arrive. We didn't know there was only a receptionist from 10-7pm. The second bedroom did not have fitted air conditioning and it was noisy. We only had 1 air conditioning remote so we were confused if it worked for the one in the living room and main bedroom. The TV remote did not work. The towels were hard and the bed sheets looked cleaned but we were not 100% if it felt clean. The bed was springy and squeaky. However, location was good and staff were friendly and helpful. There was a 'snack room' available with complimentary teas, coffees and sweets available.

Great for families in a great neighborhood!
Loved the apartment and the neighborhood! However-directions for using the coffee pot would have been great. We couldn't figure it out and we were gone when they were at the desk. It shouldn't say washer/dryer in apt when the dryer is a clothes line!! It's by the sea so it's humid and things took a long time to dry!

Excellent Base for seeing the sites
Arrival was excellent - Receptionist was very helpful, checked us in quickly and showed us to the apartment and explained what we needed to know. First Class. Apartment overall was very good, couch needed replaced though. We overlooked the courtyard which was ideal for us as there was almost no road noise. Would recommend Grandom Suites for a visit.

Great ending to vacation
We were ending a family cruise of the Mediterranean and needed a place that would allow comfort for 4 to a room (we booked 2 rooms) This place completely met our needs. Andrea, at time of check in was wonderful. They booked minivans to the airport for us, and they we early for pick up. We were concerned they might be late. The rooms, I mean apartments, were comfortable, their location to the "hop on, hop off" buses was great, just three blocks! (To save orientation time, as you go out the front door, make a left then left at first street. Three blocks and you are on the main strip) Great place and location. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Well located suite
We stayed for 3 days on a family visit. This is an apartment hotel, so someone is at the front desk only during daytime hours. It was conveniently located, and the receptionist was very helpful and pleasant. The suite was clean and well maintained. However, the beds and sofa were not particularly comfortable. Overall, would probably stay there again.

I recommend this hotel/apartment, great place!
After a long search, we were very happy to end up with Grandom Suites. The taxi driver did not have a hard time finding the place. It's close to major attractions, great location. Area was safe, we liked it that it's not on a busy street. We were very surprised how quiet it was at night as we're light sleepers. Many restaurants and cafes to choose from nearby. The apartment was spacious and clean with 2 bedrooms (the smaller bedroom's bed was hard), one and a half bathrooms, full equipped kitchen with a washer and drying rack. The living room/dining room was spacious and we felt very welcomed by the beautiful fresh flowers! Someone had to fix the coffee maker. The hairdryer and iron did not work. We appreciated the welcome drinks and snacks. Best of all, Sandra was hospitable and always there when we needed help. The 4 night stay was enjoyable.

Great value. I though we would get a below average room because of price but wow was I surprised. It was a great room for the price. Centrally located. Apt style 2 bedroom with washing machine and a balcony. The view was to other back if buildings but still a great area to sit outside and talk and have a glass of wine. This is great is you are going to be out most of the day and simply need a roomy apt to come home to.

Great family accommodation. Lots of space and very clean. Welcome soda on arrival which was great too. Location perfect to walk to main sites but <10 mins walk to metro/train which takes you straight to airport. Recommended.
