Hope Land was probably best in its heyday, some 40 years ago: marble floors, nice architecture, grand lobby.. BUT in 2026, all I saw was a dilapidated piece of filthy room. Will not stay here again. The breakfast buffet was so-so: cold baked beans, lukewarm scramble eggs, instant Nescafé, seriously no freshly brewed coffee.. it was disappointing.
Thankfully as a frequent traveler, we only booked two nights to try. We are visiting our son who is a digital nomad. Hope Land is across the street from his apartment (Sky Walk), near the W-Market. Well, unless one tries, one won't know. This location on Sukhumvit s perfect; just not this hotel.
I would stay away from this hotel.

The grounds were gorgeous and close to the water. The staff was friendly and responded to any requests quickly, which I really appreciated. The room, however, smelled TERRIBLE. No matter how much I opened the doors or sprayed body spray in the air, it smelled extremely musty. When I left, all of my clothing smelled like mildew. The TV automatically turns on at full volume each time you enter the room and insert your key, which was unpleasant, especially at night. The guests at the pool were SO LOUD. There was a group of teenagers traveling together and they were in the pool screaming until 9:00pm every evening for the duration of my visit. The fridge in the room smelled like someone spilled something but it was never cleaned all the way. I wanted to like this property because it was recommended to me but I was disappointed.
