Grand Hotel in Porto Cervo

10/10 Excellent

"An old style hotel, whose location over a semi-private cove is its main advantage. Our room was spacious enough and the bathroom had the right amenities. Taking into account that sea weed are a significant part of the ecosystem we were not bothered by them so much. But the beach itself seemed unclean and full of wasps and differed completely from the pictures presented and respectively from our expectations. We chose this hotel for its nice private beach, but we had to travel long ways to better beaches. Food for dinner was of not-so-good quality and the staff serving it seemed completely inadequate. That is why we didnot repeat a meal in the hotel's restaurant. Anyway the gardens and the pool were great, but our overall satisfaction was way below our expectations and what we paid for."

"lovely hotel room and some bedrooms at the hotel are direct onto the beach...however if you dont reserve the top room package then patio sunbeds are not allowed and sunbeds on the beach are 40 euros per couple per day!!!!...lovely pool across the road at the lower room rates but only a handful of sunbeds around the pool!...and the evening dinner menu is VERY expensive! location is quite remote for eating out. nearest and only shop/supermarket is approx 1 km walk for anything needed. ..Oh and if you order take away food from outside the hotel i.e. a pizza then the hotel will charge you a surcharge!!...we liked the hotel itself but the feeling was once you have booked this...one of the most expensive hotels in this vacinity..then they charge you high prices for any other needs"

"Great hotel right on the edge of town. Easy to access and ample parking. The rooms were clean and big. Service was great. The restaurants are high quality and I’d stay there again in a heartbeat. The pool was a wonderful with a great view and access to the beach was simple. The only thing I’d change would be a bit higher quality coffee in the room (maybe a nespresso machine instead of Nescafé instant coffee sticks) and an iron/steamer."

"Wonderful hotel ! Everything was perfect. The room was so nice with an outdoor terrace and two chaise lounges, and partial view of the water. The lobby, the pool area and the beach club were all 5 stars! The beach area is not sandy but so unique with day beds nestled between rock formations. And the sunset from there is spectacular! The breakfast was wonderful and if you don’t want a big dinner there is also a pizza restaurant on the property open late. In summary, we loved it and would come back in a heat beat !"

"Super beautiful hotel, gorgeous location next to the beach. Easy parking on the premises. Super friendly staff. Hotel private beach is very small but there is a nice big beach right next to it. Lovely town with a very good vibe! Really enjoyed it. (PS: make sure to check your final bill - we were double charged for dining. Otherwise truly amazing experience!"

"The staff was excellent. It was our anniversary and. special get away. I wrote to the GM prior to make sure we had a room with a view, I was very disappointed it was not provided. I had to talk to the manager who accommodated us but it was not available for FOUR days. Also we did not know about a Very Nice CLUB at the beach for several Days."
