"I paid approximately $1,200 per night expecting a 5-star experience and instead arrived at what felt like an active construction site.
Upon entering our room, construction dust was visible throughout the space. Manager Nicole sent housekeeping to clean it, but the dust returned later that evening. I expressed concerns about having my two young children sleep in that environment and requested a room on a floor without construction, but was told construction was taking place throughout the building.
Construction noise and banging continued throughout the day, including around the pool area. The following morning, I was awakened at exactly 4:59 AM by construction activity within the building.
Service was equally disappointing. The minibar was empty. At 10:30 PM I requested ice and was told none was available because the bar and kitchen were closed, despite having been served fresh ice from the bar 30 minutes earlier. Staff stated it was “not their position” to provide it.
Most concerning, as I was leaving my room, I overheard the general contractor speaking in Hebrew to workers: “Clear the pathway before this one takes pictures again.” Unbeknownst to him, I understand Hebrew. This demonstrated that management and contractors were fully aware of the ongoing construction conditions.
This property is not in a condition that justifies luxury pricing. Guests should not be paying $1,200 per night to stay on floors with active construction, recurring dust, and noise disturbances."
