"Needed an item to replace one lost in travels. Staff was very accommodating. Property still had heat on. Asked staff to manually change our room to cool and they graciously did."

"This seems most like a conference hotel. Perfectly nice, nice breakfast, nice spa and workout room, where we had very nice massages, nice staff. While the canal ends at the hotel, it is not very scenic. If we hadn't needed a king bed, an elevator and a/c, we would have looked for something more traditional near the original canals. Also, we made the mistake of thinking a canal boat ride would take us past the striped boat houses, but it doesn't. (Poor research on our part.) They are in Costa...

"The beds were super comfortable and rooms very clean. The hotel was at one time quite fancy - and is well kept- the marble staircase was impressive. The staff could be more personable - one lady was more friendly. And the location was ok - backed up on apartments- it’s a bit out of range to the tourist spots yet close to some amazing restaurants. The coziness of the bed made up for it all. "

"For the price, this property was good. A little tired- but has a cozy feel, like your aunt’s house in Des Moines. There were no frills- a bed, shower, tv and there is no elevator - but it’s only 2 floors. Location is perfect for exploring Aveiro. Drawbacks- it was very cold in our room. There was a plugin heater, but it just wasn’t cutting the cold and damp . Saving grace - 2 huge thick wool blankets in the closet. Breakfast was simple and the coffee was great. "Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The staff is courteous and helpful, and very thorough with regards to room cleanliness. My only constructive criticism is that the mattress was a bit too firm for my preference. A HUGE plus is the shower, with a long arm for more convenient cleaning and a very efficient square overhead ... well, showerhead."
