The staff is lovely, helpful, patient, kind, and maybe overworked. They do a phenomenal job and I hope the franchise owner can invest in the property to fix some of the issues (leaky roof).
I like the staff , location , and the cleanliness . I like the pool , and the weight room . But with room does need to be at better temp . I love the shower pressure , but when taking shower the water would not drain out of tub , but bed was comfortable , and loved the pillows .
What I didn’t like is need a better shower curtain because it floods the floor . And on Sundays after 2 they do not do food as I was told . But overall I will stay there on a regular basis when I go to Austin tx
The property was in a great location, with parking! When we booked, the site stated that continental breakfast was included, but now it is a full service, not included restaurant. Front entry light to our room was very buggy, and although they said they would clean it, three different times, it did not happen.
Hotel was shabby. Carpets in halls were stained and dirty. The walls and elevators were scarred and stained. The room was missing electric outlet covers. The bathroom had layers and layers of old caulking around the tub and sink in many different colors and looked terrible.
And the floors in the room were FILTHY!! My granddaughter spilled some water. I used a towel to dry it up and was shocked at how much dirt came off the floor.
The pool area was okay, but the pool and especially the hot tub filters were obviously not working, due to the amount of debris and dead bugs in the water.
We were only there for one night. We won’t be back.
Everything from checking to a late checkout was great. The staff were really attentive and friendly. The room was fine, a standard hotel room that was clean.

This property had very comfortable and clean rooms. There was some wear and tear in the rooms liked chipped/pealing paint on the bathroom door and end tables chipped/dinged and looking worn. The hallways need updating with dirty carpet, and chipped/worn paint on doorframes and elevators.
Bizarre that sheets of plastic wear hung at the entrance to the bar area. Looked like they were beginning to remodel but it was to keep people out when they were closed. very strange. check in was slow as only one person was at the desk. Did not use the restaurant for breakfast as the price seemed crazy high for eggs and toast.
I stayed here for one night. Lots of ants showed up at night. The toilet flush was not functioning properly. The property was so outdated. The staff was friendly, though.
Front desk staff Phyllis and Ruth were very friendly and accomodating. The bartender, Valerie, is very sweet and fun to talk with. All the housekeeping staff and maintenance staff were very friendly and helpful. I chose this hotel for its location but ended up loving the staff.
It should not advertise BAR & RESTAURANT if it is not part of the hotel, especially if they are closed. Plumbing in bathrooms should be checked as part of housekeeping. I found myself in a tub ready to shower only to realize that little to no cold water was available. Then having to change room because the repair was going to need a complicated fix.
There was no pen & paper to use.
No help with luggage ( I have my right hand/arm in cast

very average hotel; free parking was a plus and near to the airport. the room was not very clean.
The Wyndham Garden Hotel in Austin is conveniently located near the highway and a few minutes to downtown. The hotel had ample parking. The staff were very courteous, helpful and accommodating. The hotel is clean and handicap accessible. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Austin.

The front desk staff and cleaning staff were very friendly, but the bar staff barely looked at you and seemed annoyed you were there. Room was clean, but toilet never flushed correctly. The coffee maker in the room spit out hot water and steam directly at you when it was finished~would have been dangerous for a child. The water system in the bathroom went from cold to scalding hot with no in-between, again being dangerous for a child.
Beware of their early online check-in. I did that, and when I went to the desk to get my room key, the person checked me in again. That caused my card to have TWO holds on it for the entire cost of a 4 night stay. The manager was very nice and apologetic, but there was nothing that could be done because it was a hold and not an actual charge. It eventually worked itself out, but a chunk of my vacation money was unavailable until I got back home. 😥

Overall not disappointed. Got a great price and was pretty decent all things considered. Great water pressure in the showers. Toilets a bit weak, but did the job. Strong AC in the room. Just some stuff was quite worn out and dated but for what I paid I would stay there again.
Area was nice and walking into hotel was nice but soon as we walked in our room, we immediately smelled mold. We looked in the shower and there was the mold. The water in the shower was way to hot, it was either way to hot or ice cold, there was no in between. We had small children with us. I end up having to just wash them up in the sink. The bedding had stains on it. After a long day in town our babies was to tired for us to find another hotel. We will not be staying at this hotel again,
I think this hotel needs a renovation. The one in San Antonio where we stayed, Hampton Inn riverwalk was TERRIBLE! Not one day did they clean our room! People wee not as nice, they were a bit rude I would say. Also the parking was also new for mi. Thankfully I have a permit for handicap but to CHARGE for the parking is a ripoff. I have gone several times to Hampton Inn in San Antonio but believe me, I do not consider staying there again. NOT 1 DAY DID THEY CLEAN OUR ROOM. Austin was only OK BUT TJEY DO NEED TO REMODEL.
Also and important, we arrived in Austin and I put some waters and cokes in the fridge. In 2 hours THERE WERE TINY COCAROACHES INSIDE THE FRIDE. Disgusting! I told them in the office but they could care less. I would ask for a partial refund on BOTH hotels but I do not know I you can. Terrible experience on both hotels.

This building smells of mold. Carpet is severely stained. Phones in room do not work “due to building upgrades” I requested a refund because it was difficult to breathe in the hallways and this hotel would only provide an email and told me to contact them or Expedia. Would not recommend staying here. Motel 6 is an better option then this hotel. Save your money.
