The room was amazing! The host has a ton of knowledge on the local food and shops, and even makes an amazing breakfast, too! The house is centrally located in a perfect spot for anyone wanting to see D-Day history. I hope to be back in Normandy again, and when I do, this is where I’ll stay!

We brought our grandson to see the Normandy beaches and this B&B was so convenient to all of them. Caroline the host is outstanding and she goes out of her way to make your stay excellent. The breakfast she serves is homemade and delicious, with local ingredients! I cannot rate her or this property high enough. What a wonderful visit and experience!

Caroline was a wonderful host. I didn't realize I need transportation due to small population in the area. Caroline not only found a local rental for us but she was able to get a local cab to take us to the train station when Uber didn't have drivers to pick us up.very very helpful. She was worth more than 5 stars to use.

The B&B maintains beautiful grounds, is just a short stroll to the beach and our host, Caroline, was very sweet, friendly and helpful. She provided great recommendations for sightseeing and points of interest in the surrounding area along with supporting literature.

We had an excellent stay. The property is lovely as well as the host. It is in a small hamlet in the Normandie countryside...the true experience...very unique. The room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was amazing; all fresh and handmade by her and her husband. Super chambres d hôtes dans la campagne Normande.

Amazing throughout

Amazing beautiful property and the host Caroline was so friendly and welcoming. Me and my brother stayed for 2 nights to visit the WW2 museums and location was fantastic. Breakfast was fantastic and so fresh, id rrcommend asking caroline for the Goats cheese with spring onion. Thanks again and will be back.

My Wife and I stayed here for three nights. Caroline the lovely owner, is a wonderful host and nothing is too much trouble for her to do, to give guests a great experience. She makes all the produce for breakfast, which was delicious. The rooms are extremely comfortable with a good bathroom and drinks making facilities. The property is ideal for visiting the D day sites or exploring the lovely countryside around Normandy. I could throughly recommend this property to any would be visitor who wants good value for money accommodation with a great host.

Le Close St Jean was simply amazing. When we drove up to the property it felt like we were stepping back in time. The house and grounds are absolutely beautiful and the rooms have been updated, decorated and boast several special touches that made our stay unique and unforgettable. The hosts are incredibly gracious and welcoming and prepared delicious breakfasts that were some of our favorite moments of our trip. It was a truly wonderful stay and we highly recommend this property.

This beautiful B&B was the perfect place for our little family to stay during our trip to the Normandy historical sites. Caroline was a wonderful host and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable including finding toys for our baby to play with in the room and at breakfast. She also clearly tailored the breakfast menus to our tastes. The rooms were very comfortable and we all slept very well. We had such a lovely stay and would absolutely stay again if we are revisiting the area. Thank you Caroline!

I was looking for a nice place to stay in the French countryside, and this was perfect. Caroline, the owner and operator was super nice, and spoke English for us quite well. She was really helpful in making dinner plans, and plans for side-trip to Mont St Michel. She also made a great breakfast for us. We had the double-room “tulip” rooms, which were very comfortable, clean, roomy, and well-maintained. Loved everything about our stay. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for three nights and we are so glad we found this beautiful little B and B. You will feel like you have stepped back in time as you are traveling around the area. Our room was exactly as pictured and was comfortable and immaculately clean. Caroline is a treausre-so kind! Her breakfasts were delicious and included freshly squeezed orange juice and homemeade jams (ask her to make chocolate mousse!) we will remember our stay here fondly and are so grateful to have found it. Reserve it now before she fills up!

Angels in Normandy

My son and I had a wonderful stay. Caroline and Laurent were wonderful. The grounds were immaculate and breakfast was delicious. We ended up in a bind with a rental car. The two were instrumental in insuring that the situation was rectified and didn’t ruin our vacation, which it could easily have without their assistance. My son and I will never forget their kindness and our amazing stay in their lovely B&B.

This place is a unique gem in a surreal area. (Any American, or person who appreciates history for that matter should visit this region. So many incredible places to see!) The location is well-suited for exploring the many notable historical sites, and offers a quiet, clean, and comfortable stay. The owner, Caroline, is probably the most genuine, caring, and friendly person we’ve ever met while traveling. From the moment we arrived she welcomed us and went out of her way to ensure we were happy and comfortable, while also not being overbearing in any way and giving us space to relax after being in the city prior to arriving. I will say personally this is not our usual type of accommodation as we tend to be fairly low-key/private in places we stay (read: hotel stays), but this was the perfect balance. I am so glad we went ahead and stayed here especially with the experience we had. Caroline also took it upon herself to prepare appropriate breakfast items for one of us with a food allergy (gluten), which was very much appreciated and something that we did not expect at all. All I can say is, thank you!! It’s not often you find someone who truly cares so much about their guests.. I can say without a doubt that Caroline does and you will have an exceptional time here.
