Arrived at this hotel and was immediately given a very warm welcome. We were travelling with our ten month old son and the staff had independently picked up on this (despite us not requesting any additional assistance or special requests etc) and they had prepared a beautiful cot for him with lovely bedding and were very thoughtful in including a bottle warmer and kettle in the room. We thought that they had shown particular attention to detail in trying to make a comfortable stay.

Easy check in. Room very good size but basic amenities but a electric kettle was very welcome.
Hotel fronts a main road but as our room was at the back it was very quiet. Limited forecourt parking but easy unrestricted street parking close by.
Restaurant lived up to expectations and we had drinks in the garden at the rear which was pleasant with a couple of sun loungers.
Excellent breakfast they even had their own DIY waffle maker. My wife tried the sauna which was OK but as not as hot as she...

EV chargers out of order, yet their was a car charging which I think belonged to the staff.
Meant my car was almost flat in the morning as I specifically booked this hotel as it was advertised having EV chargers.

An exquisite hotel taking full advantage of its 15th century historical foundations- quiet but located close to the action - restaurants, bars and all the cultural centres.
The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly.
An absolute joy all round.
Only criticism (not mentioned at the time) was the bathroom didn’t have a proper shower or curtain- a walk in shower would have been wonderful (but we appreciate the constraints of a medieval building).

Very good value and ideal as a stop off if travelling to south of France as about half way. friendly staff- evening drinks are poor range and no snacks but from a machine. Room very clean and functional. used before and will use again. Also underground secure parking.
