Augusta and its attractions for beach lovers
While Augusta, Georgia, is renowned for its lush golf courses and vibrant history, it doesn't boast beaches of its own. However, if you’re an adventurous traveller with a penchant for coastal escapes, the nearby Lake Hartwell offers a unique water experience with sandy shores perfect for sunbathing and swimming. You can take a leisurely boat ride across the lake or enjoy fishing and picnicking along its beautiful banks, making it a great family-friendly option. For a taste of culture, the Augusta Riverwalk provides a picturesque setting to stroll alongside the Savannah River, dotted with parks, cafes, and local art installations. The historic district invites exploration, with charming boutiques and eateries that cater to discerning tastes. For those looking for a serene escape, consider staying in the Summerville area, where you can find quality hotels offering attentive service and convenient access to both the river and the lake activities. Enjoy the blend of relaxation and adventure, knowing that each day brings new opportunities to explore the scenic beauty and rich culture of the region.
