Staff very friendly & helpful. Water in the taps was lukewarm not cold and the food in the bar was excellent but was charged full menu price instead of the early bird offer.
Would Stay again as very convenient if visiting Athlone.
Fifth time to stay in hotel brought elderly friends away as a treat . Staff made us feel very welcome and special .
They were all amazing . Will be returning again most definitely. Newly renovated rooms were a pleasure to stay in . Overall everything was perfect
Really comfortable hotel, extremely clean, staff were excellent, couldn't do enough and food in the bar was very good. I recommend this hotel if you have an occasion in Athlone or a shopping trip. Its on the out skirts but a short trip by taxi into town.
Nicely cooked food for dinner and breakfast. Very helpfull friendly experienced staff , good service . Lovely room with high standard of decor and cleanliness
It was a little run down but for a very low price it was comfortable and warm. Friendly staff. Evening meal was very good indeed. Great selection for breakfast. It turns out to be pet friendly!
It was really great. Rooms are big and clean and you get all the facilities nearby foods drinks etc. The hotel also has its own bar and restaurant. The food was nice.
No problem with staff but need to have a supervisor at breakfast as it would not take Francis Brennan to point out issues at breakfast. No glasses for juice, cup missing at table, asked twice for tea, plates not available for breakfast and we're cold when supplied.Food ran out for sausages, eggs, beans and black pudding and shortage of white bread. This was on a Sunday morning at 10am and was it a case that breakfast was coming close to 10:30am that the food was on a low ebb.

Good value for a business stay
The hotel is a good value choice if you’re travelling to Athlone for business. It’s basic, but at a really great price point. It’s also handily located adjacent to a convenience store and fast food. For business it’s great but if you want some ambiance you’ll need to be in town.
Very comfortable. Did not like walk in shower and toilet (but that's just me). Room service - excellent. Food also excellent. Felt guilty I was unable to finish.
Room looked a bit tired.Carpet by bathroom door frayed.
Overall for one night stay I am happy and would come back.

Very good value for money
Breakfast was very good, fresh fruit salad, very fresh croissant etc. Hot holding units piping hot but food not dried out. Staff very friendly & helpful. Rooms do need a makeover but were clean.
Staff are very helpful and lovely but the room we were in was very sub standard.
Bath panel all rotten, furniture in the bedroom falling apart, stained, musty smell to the room.
For the money paid ( which I was then informed was room only and charged extra for breakfast) is not worth it.
Sorry! Staff however made the place. Really helpful and welcoming
Desk staff were very friendly but the room was below average. Mold in the bathroom, holes and cracks in the walls, very dated decor, just generally in bad shape. Definitely not to the standard I would expect for the price point.
The hotel was very close to Athlone - a few minutes drive.
Staff generally very friendly and helpful.
Layout of room could be better - positions of electrical sockets
Single beds were rather narrow.
Good breakfasts.
