1st and last trip
We were in town for a softball tournament and only stayed 1 night. I can't complain about the overall cleanliness or friendliness of the staff My complaint is the shady people that hang out around and inside the hotel. People screaming in the halls. People randomly walking by knocking on doors. Obvious drunk people hanging out in the parking lot. We checked in late and had to leave early as our kids had to play their 1st game at 8am but honestly, I was more than happy to leave and will stay somewhere else is we ever play another tournament in Athens.

The room and hotel in general appeared fairly clean on the surface. However, it could have used a more deep cleaning. I was thankful that I had brought anti bacterial wipes as I had to clean leftover "stuff" from the front of the toilet bowl. The shower curtain appeared stained. I accidentally spilled water on the floor and used a towel to wipe it up. The towel was black when I was finished. The bed was fairly comfortable. However, it was pushed up against the wall. Thankfully I was alone or someone would've been climbing over the other to get up in the middle of the night if they needed to use the restroom. No coffee maker in the room, which was a bummer. The hotel could definitely use some updates. Think Florida 1990's lol I guess I didn't expect much for the cheap rate so I wasn't surprised or disappointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely no bells or whistles-just plain and basic. The hotel was dirty but could definitely use some deep cleaning. The room was nasty dirty just old stains in many places. Room 136 has a bed that squeaks with every move. It drove me crazy most of the night. Staff was very friendly however. Bathroom was clean. Very obvious they did updates on a budget. Our room had hardwood plank floors throughout the entire room-very odd for a hotel. And for some reason the tv was placed on top of a closet.

Go to Hotel in Athens
I don't stay at any other Motel 6 except for this one. The staff is very friendly, The hotel is clean, updated and the bed and pillows are very comfortable. The TV has all HBO's and Cinemax. Reasonable price

I was looking for houses in the area and I needed a cheap hotel for a couple of nights. Pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the room and the friendliness of the staff. Sometimes when you get a cheap hotel things don't always work out this well. I would stay here again anytime.

Very clean grounds and facilities. Staff was very nice and helpful and offered information on all restaurants in the area. Check in and out was quick and efficient. They have an ice machine, soda and snack machines, and complimentary coffee in the morning. Definitely recommend as a great deal and experience.

Desk staff absolutely barbarians. Crude, rude, uncaring. Would not forward calls to room, open doors for ladies with heavy luggage, convey any respect whatsoever. Box springs broken on both beds, refrigerator not working at all, carpet filthy, more than one light bulb broken, cooking odor, (curry) from next door overwhelming.
