"The zen wellness resort was beautiful and brand new. We had a deluxe king room, which is one room in a villa, with a few common areas. The resort is huge, you will need a golf cart to get around and there is a shuttle from reception to breakfast. Which was excellent! The only downside to this resort is that it far from downtown Aswan, but it is worth staying here as it is brand new and very luxurious."

The upgrade was very much appreciated The service, room and food were excellent The hotel is located on an island a short boat ride from the center of old Aswan. The hotel grounds feels almost like being in a five star city The hotel operates a free ferry which runs approximately every five to ten minuets to ferry people from old Aswan to the island People who are elderly or who have disabilities my find getting on and off a medium size boat an issue The hotel is excellent and is probably one of the best hotels in Aswan There are some hustlers on certain streets in Aswan offering carriage rides who are not ethical and will try to put on extreme hard sell pressure or intimidation-beware "

"My biggest regret of our Egypt trip is that we only stayed here for one night! Kato Dool is everything and more that you see in the photos. The hotel is absolutely stunning, the service is impeccable, the breakfast and other meals were all absolutely delicious, and I don’t know how they managed to keep the pool cool in heat of the summer, but they did, and it was so refreshing! The hotel is situated on the West Bank, the quieter side and away from the city. Do note that it is quite a ride to get there, up a dirt road/hill and you have to get there by tuk-tuk (provided by the hotel), but it is absolutely worth it and the desert views along the way are beautiful. Don’t hesitate for even a moment - you must stay here while in Aswan, and make sure you book yourself an extra night to have a day to just relax by the pool and enjoy the views over the Nile!"
