Property needs lot$ of love, rooms are in pretty bad shape, old furniture, bath and showers are old and horrible/ Bed mattress is similar/equivalent to cement, no cushion at all. The restaurant/bar needs to be revamped as well, it needs a menu vs the buffet, which is always the same for breakfast and dinner. The bar have very limited offerings, no cocktails menu and if the bottle of what you're drinking empties you either switch drink or go somewhere else as they have no replenishments. Bottom line, will not recommend even to my worst enemy.

Absolutely love this hotel. I have stayed here twice. Once when I first arrived here in Paraguay and after three months living here I stayed here before my flight. I needed to get my COVID test early morning after a long bus ride and they allowed me to check in early. I also had a late flight the next day and they allowed me to check out late. Great service and very friendly and patient towards non-spanish speaking travelers.

Mattresses are kind of flat. We love the pool and hot shower but the only thing missing is to have better mattresses.

We appretiate your review, on the days of your stay with us, the National Water provider "Essap" stop working, and the entire city didn´t have water, luckly we got water again in the Hotel after 1 day. Best regards,

Friendly staff, variety of food selections, size of rooms were all a plus. Poor air-conditioning and difficult to control water temperature in shower could be better.

Food was delishious.. Service was good.. Pool was nice.. Air conditioning wasn't working very well in our room so it got very hot during the night and people were quite loud early in the morning right in front of our room, so we didnt have a good sleep while there.. Next time i book, I will ask for a room further away from the main lobby and/or on the 2nd floor.

The hotel has a beautiful garden, friendly staff, and excellent food for breakfast and lunch/dinner. It's very well-situated for conference attendance at the Las Torres venue. I truly enjoyed my stay.

Great location!
The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I was exceptionally pleased with the staff. They bent over backwards to be of help. An excellent choice if you are going to Asuncion, Paraguay. The price was exceptionally reasonable!

Hotel convenient for airport and shopping del Sol with access to buses into Asuncion. Excellent breakfast. Helpful friendly staff. Decor needs a bit of updating. Would use it again.

This hotel didn't honor my Expedia reservation. Upon arrival, I was sent to one of their lower class sister hotels not located near my initial reservation. I was told there was no room for me even though Expedia confirmed this reservation.

Portal del Sol was a great for a weekend getaway for the family. The room was big enough for all the kids to have their own bed. The Breakfast was great with fresh fruits, juices and breads. The staff provided excellent service, called us taxis when needed, bringing drinks and lunch poolside and providing directions to local restaurants.

Lovely charming hotel, but gym not working
The hotel is beautiful, with a lovely garden, a bit rustic but that just adds to it's charm. The breakfast was great. The room was OK. The problem was that in the gym nothing worked, the treadmill was not functioning and so the rest of the equipment. And as I wanted to be able to exercise over the weekend I had to cancel my other two days and move to another hotel. Oh and the staff gave me wrong directions where to go find food, sent me a completely wrong way, which is kind of inconsiderate, but I found a nice Italian restaurant nearby away.

We have stayed here many times. It is inexpensive, The breakfast is really good I like the variety of juices and scrambled eggs. The dinner is also good. It is located near the Sol shopping center where you can get what you need or eat at the large food court. The AC in our room didn't work, but I was so tired that I fell asleep. The beds aren't the most comfortable. I got Wifi in the room and there were computers in the main lobby.

Disaster Relief Trip.
The hotel was better than most in the area but below standards for the USA (which I expected). The staff was, generally, very accommodating and helpful (even though few of them spoke English-but then it is a Spanish speaking country. If I hadn´t had some of my (unguarded) property stolen, they would have received a higher rating. My suggestion is that anyone coming here lock up their valuables in the room safe. Other than that very bad situation, the hotel staff was very helpful easy to get along with.

Es un hotel que solemos ir con mi marido pero en esta ocasión la habitación que nos dieron el colchón estaba en pésimas condiciones y el aire acondicionado no funcionaba por lo tanto no pudimos descansar con mi esposo … si podemos resaltar lo rico de su desayuno ..
