Staff excellent from check to departure. Arrived early so went to reception just expecting to register the car park but room was ready which was a bonus. Great meal in peacheys in the evening followed by a quality breakfast the following morning.

Malmaison York
The riom was immaculate, the staff was friendly except for the overnight reception. Was disappointed that the spa was nit open as that was the reason i booked. The restaurant was exceptional except for breakfast.

![Old Manor House site, Topcliffe Known as Manor Hills or Cock Lodge, this is the site of a medieval manor house belonging to the Percys. The view shows the outer ditch and bank in the foreground with the inner ditch [moat] and bank beyond. The conical mound was the site of a windmill. The manor is thought to have been erected in the 13th century and was described as 'ruinous' in a survey of the estate in 1577.
