"A brief one night stop due to very early plane arrival. Lady on front of house was brilliant- coffee and local sweet pastries at 3am! Rooms are huge with warm showers in ours. Other rooms couldn’t get the showers right - but that might have been us. Bed is huge - mattress is firm (good for me). Simple but very nice breakfast on the terrace - including freshly cooked eggs. Although it’s just off the main road it’s quite quiet. Very relaxed about checkout as we arrived so late. If you want a good...

"The location of this lodge is amazing, offering a serene setting to enjoy the wildlife of Tanzania when not on safari. The lodge sits on the edge of a marsh and gave us multiple terrace options (including a private one attached to our room) to do some bird watching. While there , we saw the African fish eagle and Black-and-white cascade hornbill, songbirds too many to count, along with some visiting Vervet monkeys. The staff were among the most attentive and friendly that we have experienced and...

Mount Meru Game Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"Everything was stellar…check in, service in all areas, room, ambience, food, beverages, garden breakfast and dinner, landscaping and river garden deck. Stay here!"

Airport Planet Lodge at Kilimanjaro Airport

10/10 Excellent

"This is my third week in Tanzania. I have stayed in many different lodges and Airport Planet Lodge was by far the best. It is more expensive than many alternatives but definitely worth the extra, especially if you're looking for a bit of pampering after climbing Kili."

Four Points By Sheraton Arusha, The Arusha Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"This hotel is like an oasis in the busy centre of Arusha town, next to the Clock Tower. It is a hotel dating back to the 1930's but the renovations would lead you to believe it was built in the past 5 years. The gardens are luscious with lots of vegetation. There is a pool and gym on site but had no time to check out either. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and knowledgable. The restaurant menu was great for breakfast and dinner, with lots of options. The rooms were clean. Not much that can be said to prevent you from checking out this property on your next visit to Arusha town. We stayed for 2 nights and then had to move on but I could have stayed longer."

Tulia Boutique Hotel and Spa

"Very nice staff."

Mount Meru Hotel
